  • I always get chills when I listen to this song.

  • don t excpect to get saved from ''saviors'' neither Obama o anyone else can change things..this is only U

  • the true voice off the people fight the power

  • your lips stay still like the victims eyelids all you need to know about your banks uncle tom

  • NAFTA was created by Bush/republican..then signed into law by Clinton/democrat. UMMM...hey, 2 party system? yeah right. LOL. That shipped out all the jobs. Wonder why were poor? and then after that they crunch the housing market after all the jobs are gone? hmmm. My wife comes from a family of loggers. after NAFTA, it was cheaper to import lumber from Canada than it was for our guys to cut it and take it to the mill here. So, support your local Canadian and Mexican for jobs, but fuck us then.

  • @elvisismymother listen to underground then. That's where the real shit is. The stuff u mentioned "bitches, hoes etc." that's commercial rap that shitty stuff. Underground is where the real message is at. And if you like Rebel Diaz I'm pretty sure you'll like. immortal technique, diabolic, lost children of Babylon, general Steele. And there's many more artist with the same style of flow

  • It's now crystal clear where Obama's sympathies lie: with the rich and powerful. Ignore his flowery speeches, we've seen there's nothing behind them.

  • damn i wish i was really true

  • and lil wayne is talkin bout lolli pops!!!

  • The people must in the end continue the fight and not give up. Who will fight for us by ourselves.

  • Obama another robot, and it will always be the same way no matter what!! Until the revolution comes!!!

  • Could you put the text on please? I can understand it a little bit, but when I can read it, I can fully understand it.

    Thanks from Germany

  • I love Rebel Diaz. You guys are oxygen in this contaminated society that we live in...

  • I stopped listening to hip-hop and rap a few years ago because I was sick of hearing about bitches, hoes, and other mysognystic lyrics. By chance I've discovered Rebel Diaz- they are AMAZING!!! Wow, they are so good!

  • In my opinion, I see this dude (b.o.) has bamboozled a lot of uneducated youngstuz and a lot of people in general, being so dreamy-eyed about a black prez (I am a black man myself) no ones realizng the dictatorial socialized state he's taking this country, and yes Bush was'nt perfect, but when the Elite saw how people fell for this prez they new it would be that much easier to forward their plan,so "change" to what and "forward" to where should be the questions.

  • @Spango103 Well, he also diveded the society a lot more, what makes "ruling the sheep" harder after all (e.g. all the tea parties vs. the socialist ones (health care) - like in the mc Carthy era: well, mcCarthy won with his censoring books, etc., meaning most of the society were made to believe in the bomber and missile gap)

  • i love the work you guys do. You should really hit me up my fiance produces music and maybe you can work with him. I also work with Sistas and Brothas United and they all love you there. Good work guys.

  • I BUY MUSIC and ya'll talk about revolution while buying PANTS .... LEVIS never the less : )

  • "Respect the law, and don't get violent" take that to note everybody

  • Wow.That was a very touching song.

  • le'internationale sera la genre humain

  • hmmm. i wonder what obama is doing for the hood....

  • Lets get rid of the two party system dictatorship! Long live Ralph Nader, Michael Moore. Cynthia McKinney, Bill Maher, and Sean Penn! Those are the real American Heros!

  • @cerritoboy

Michael Moore and Bill Maher turned on Nader in 2004, Fuck them.

  • why stop there...

why not take out the very illusion that it democracy

  • wrong. People who actually do something to change the system are the true heroes. Like the ALF and the ELF.

  • Dope track.

  • greedings from greece...POWER TO THE PEOPLE....

  • global strike - summer 2010 -all the guns in the world can't stop it

  • yeh its time to revolt against the capitalist agenda! wether its with healthcare and the education system in america they should all be FREE !!!and free from the bureaucrats and businesses that control these entities!!

  • big song.

  • nice chune

  • last verse rips it, "voted for the fence, ur dad's from kenya ur not making sense

  • very much liked this song

  • i question whether obama is really the catalyst for real chance, you know the type where different things happens.

  • 'catalyst' is a pretty broad term.. obama managed to mobilize a lot of previously apolitical working class youth and people of color to start organizing for his campaign, because they believed that obama represented the aspirations of ordinary workers and minorities like themselves. so, the question is if obama does not live up to this perception that got him elected, will these same organizers/youth/workers continue to mobilize on the streets and fight for these values? if so, obama = catalyst

  • in America in 2007-2008, there was a lot of Americans who were disenfranchised, because of the GOP/Bush presidency, particularly young Americans

Obama, simply tapped into that craving for change. He did it well, empowering lots of otherwise apathetic young people.

The question that i ask if whether he has the capacity to deliver real change, or whether he will turn into a statesman, like the rest.

Finally a message to the young people who got involved in the campaign, this is the beginning

  • well i think because he is the head of a capitalist state, he won't be able to deliver real change without upsetting corporate interests. we've already seen him bail out bankers and large firms, and increase the military budget, while education cuts are happening nationwide and less youth of color will have access to universities. so no, i don't think he can or will deliver real change.

i agree with your last line. the youth need to continue to fight. only pressure from below can create change.

  • @SqueezyCrusty Good good good good. So Glad to find Rebel Diaz.

  • maybe I'm just cyncical but it feels like we lost a lot of unity in the far left, and ended up with some potential brownshirts.

  • then he bails out the bankers and big buisness

  • Despite the remaining political differences I got with them, I want to personally thank Rebel Diaz for being one of the few voices in Hip Hop who has the bravery to continue questioning the system with their music. The struggle is long from over.

"Democratic achievements must be curtailed by shaking attitudes" -Noam Chomsky

  • Obama isnt Jesus he cant cure all the worlds problems with a wave of his hand. hes only been in office for 4 months and though i am a socialist most people in this country aren't so hes got work with all of america not just the inner cities

i dont agree with everything he's done but i still think hes doing a good job were in deep shit its gunna take time

  • socialism is the answer.

  • Ya good thought right there. Thats what germany's answer was in the early 1940's to 1945s.. Hmm I wonder why they stopped socialsim there within that time period..

  • FINALLY! Someone is calling our president what he really is... a sell out. Chi town FOREVER...much love to Rebel Diaz. El pueblo unido jamas sera vencido! PArty for Socialism and Liberation

  • Get your moneys or anything out of the controllers hand Get your kids out of the phony banksters war get off the grid and f..em. Non compliance ex when govs have talks instead of marching stay home. The cops will look funny policing themselves and the elite will feel bad cause no ones paying att to them Wouldn't that be funny. They don't do what you want shut the city down. Refuse to let them hurt anymore. Change plans marching just gets us hurt and they do like to hurt people True.

  • ... I thought i just read that you were an anarchist. Individualist anarchism is flawed to its roots. socialist anarchism is, in my opinion, an almost immaculate conception that accomadates the individual to the greatest extent.

Also, Obama's an imperialist snake, with no semblence of socialistic agenda (he's all about saving this rotten, floundering economic system of ours).

So pig? Yes; Socialist? Fuck no.

  • Comment removed

  • Could you give me an example of one position he shares with Karl Marx?

  • Comment removed

  • ... and that makes him a pig? I woulda thought the imperialist mentality would make him a pig, or the wanting to save capitalism and established authority for the elite, but certainly not wanting to give people medicine

  • Comment removed

  • Lol sorry sir but your an idiot. If you've actually looked into countries that have socialist medicine (Every country in the western hemisphere besides the United States) doctors make just as much, even more money then doctors in the United States and the people live much longer.

  • o well i tried besides why interrupt the natural way of things when its obvious this planet doesn't need any more parasites

  • true, when is he gonna address what affects us

  • obama is for new world order! we all been trick even by obama. stock market is going down from here on, they are stealing our money and are killing the poor and the hoods across america. you need to get your songs out before they pass a lwa to stop it. i'm not kidding in the next few days everyone on this site is being monitors

  • Yes, but answer me this, what would happen if we all said no at the one time.

Who would they get to stop us?

There hideous system of privilege would collapse.

  • GOOD freakin' RAP! Finally guys who can get POLITICAL and NOT rap about NONSENSE!

  • Chappelle has a skit on this so called "history",

blind black man leading the charge of the KKK,

dont expect Obama to bring justice for Oscar Grant and his family!

  • Man I love these dudes I really want these guys to make an album.

  • They have two CDs you can buy, but I think you can only buy them at their shows. Not sure.

  • You can buy them on their site, or if you send me a message with your email i can have them mail you an order form (I know them personally)

  • After all the hype is gone and we as a people get over the fact of witnessing history, you have to step back and look at what is really there. This is a great song that asks the questions that we should all be concerned about.

  • Damn, you are right on the money with this song. Five plus stars...wish more people had Obama figured out and saw him for what he really is.

  • He's filled the proles with false hopes.

  • Thanks for this. I wish he was listening--he named Arne Duncan secretary of ed. We all know how he sabotaged the Chicago Public School system.

  • good privledge, should be challenged where ever it rears it's evil head.

it's a fundermental part of the structure that has repressed my class for centurys.

in these days where we are seeing the crunbeling and the final demise of this wretched system, we are going to see lots of changes.

  • If Obama Doesnt help us All Minorities In America Are fUcked Excuse MY french

  • The people of America, have now been energised with the the hope of change and ultermatly FREEDOM. Especially those of minority groups.

Bobby Sands talked about the 'canary and the cage', now that the American people have tasted freedom, will they ever settel for anything less.

What will happen when Obama starts selling out big time, of what if he does deliver change and the rednecks shoot him. That will not be the death of paternalistic change (from the top down), it will be the beginning

  • Ron Paul is a racist, anti-immigrant fascist.

  • fascist? please know the definition of a term before you use it dumb ass.

  • Yeah, you're right, dickbag. My use of that term was a little imprecise. Ron Paul needs a uniformed army of street thugs who use illegal violence to advance their political agenda, and all he seems to have right now is a couple of internet gangsters who can barely string a sentence together. How about "right-wing demagogue", does that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside?

  • At last, the American Left.

  • Enormous gratitude to Rebel Diaz for taking such a principled stand with this piece & for making it clear. Like the song said, the excitement for Obama's presidency in the 'hood is real, despite Obama's record, positions & statements.

Of course, Rebel Diaz, Rosa Clemente, & the rest of the Hip Hop political community are the best qualified to harness that excitement to make sure, as much as possible, that Obama does what his supporters in the African and Latino communities elected him to do.

  • The Obamas serve the CFR(Council On Foreign Relations), not the "hood" or the middle class. C'mon, he supported the Patriot Act and the Bail Out. Write In Ron Paul on PRINCIPLE because that man was right! Wake up America!

  • You could write in Ron Paul, but since he's no longer running and hasn't registered to be on write-in ballots, they'll treat it like a vote for Mickey Mouse and just toss it. Paul endorsed The Constitution Party candidate Baldwin, who should be on the write-in ballots.

  • Let me just add that I feel this song on so many levels. People, including my friends, family and mentors are going to have a rude awakening when all this "change" they hope for doesn't happen even if Barack is elect. Real change will only come as a product of systematic change, not non-partisanship between Dems & Republicans. It's deeper. There has to be a real critique of capitalism, imperialism, racism, police brutality, environmental injustice, etc. I hope Barack wins but my vote is Green.

  • Heat!

McKinney 4 Prez!! Clemente 4 VP!!

Rebel Diaz killing it once again!

    Peace.

  • OBAMA 4 President

  • yo this rapper needs 2 get a beat..b original.....plus his message is as confusiung as he claims Obamas's is....k'om!

  • but that situation about the palestine i didnt know about that n it makes the situation make alot more sense now. thanks for the knowledge brother. peace

  • but it is tru that he no longer talks with inner city and is a problem. but i mean wat do you expect, everything isnt going to be perfect all of a sudden just cause hes black, the inner city will always gets the short end of the stick. but its baby steps and sum of the things he is proposing is a step toward the right direction you know. change not utopia.

  • but im not sure if his actions addressing the bell case is exactly a direct representation of his actions during his future presidential campaign, you know wat i mean. right now is a very political time and now its important to appeal to both sides not appear radical and play the game, even if the situation was really fucked up, i mean i still cant believe only 3 out of 5 were charged and all 3 were released after one of em shot two fucking clips.

  • well first off i understand this isnt dissing obama but giving more awareness to people, thats why i thought it was good.

n i know he will bolster forces in Afghanistan to pursue Osama, but he will do those things in a much smaller scale than they currently are and remove Iraq from the table. most of the deaths that are accumulated in this war are from Iraq.

  • this is a pretty good song, that stuff about his mouth being shut during the sean bell case and the 50 mill "restraint" is tru, i doubt it was actually 50 mill but still messed up. but im not with him about peeps in Palestine n forgeting about Israel n about him being a corporate sell out n shit. i mean you cant let another holocaust happen with the Israels, n thats wats about to happen. but he has said the war at home is more important, thats why hes doin his tax thing n pulling out of Iraq.

  • he's pulling out of iraq to bolster forces in afghanistan, where bin laden allegedly is. the fact that he hasn't said anything about sean bell suggests that the war at home will still be neglected; that's also why obama doesn't talk to the working class and inner city, but is tailoring his message to the middle class, joe the plumbers.

  • the point on palestine isn't anti-jew or even kicking out the jews from the territory. the concept of israel was born out of the jews deserving their own unique territory as promised by Yahweh. this has come at the expense of palestinians who were violently forced out of their homes in 1948. since the 2001 election, the Israeli government has established 34 new civilian Jewish settlement outposts in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, segregating the Palestinians in non-contiguous enclaves.

  • i should also say this ain't dissing obama. it's cautionary and hopeful that he does indeed deliver on change.

  • I think it definitely is dissing him, it is calling him out on shit he needs to be called out on. He is pretending to be revolutionary, and he is not.

    Vote for Nobody, 2008!

  • @guy70289 you should research the Israeli-Palestinian conflict...If theirs gonna be a holocaust its gonna be of the Palestinians, not Israelis.
