I have yet to get the final ending to the first game. Or the second ending to the second game (Much less third). the game was frustrating when it came to getting all of the weapons and leveling them up.

Most underrated rpg to me. or at least one of them. people really dont appreciate a good story anymore...i think thats what counts. not the gameplay or graphics or anything. Besides, playing games like these is a nice "reality escape." For some reason, i really rather live a life in a world such as this...or something fantasy based...

If done right, I also feel that an anime adaption or manga would be amazing. The game sold well enough in Japan for one I think. I bet things like the separate paths would prevent it from ever being considered.

@sergoba2 actually it technically is, only it's in a separate timeline from drakengard 2. drakengard 2 follows directly after drakengard's A ending, Nier follows after the E ending where caim an angelus come to our world and are shot down. Angelus' dying body is what brought the black scrawl, and thus magic to our world.
Queen of the watchers didn't really die she turned into dust known as "maso" that caused people to either become mindless legions or be turned into salt. Magic was later discovered in the Angelus's body and used in "project gestalt" to separate humans from their body, to create replicants, to fight the legions with magical weapons(such as Emil and his sister) and create an emergency plan with 13 grimoires

Growing Wings is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Drakengard is such an underrated series. If the gameplay were a little better, it would be a legendary series.
Both games were incredible in my book. The big draw I think was the incredibly twisted and tragic characters. Furiae, the goddess, has feelings for her brother, Inuart is consumed with jealousy because of Caim's strength, and of course, Caim is a Bloodthirsty mute badass.

If only there was more to the game play (for me) this would be one of my favorite games. Because as much as I enjoyed hacking through armies in D1, I was kind of thrown by D2's change up like special moves that (for me) take away from the flow of the game itself.
It is like the animation of the sword attacks were quickened while diminished in frame production (meaning less images to put toward the motion) I think.

The gameplay, admittedly, is actually quite repitive. And with the first, the controls themselves seem to be somewhat lackluster. And yet, I always found myself able to pull through enough for the incredible story and characters. :) But if the gameplay was better, I know so many more would have fallen in love with this series.

I love this song and I love what you did with this Vid very good! I always choke up thinking of when they burned away together...playing from the first game all the way into the second and really being a part of the story...it will really get to you to see their story end that way, romantic and perfect yet awfully tragic. Too bad Nowe was such a putz and couldnt be as badass as Caim.

Well for starters it's nothing like Fire Emblem ha ha. It's actually a real time action rpg I would say. You should check it out if you're interested.

The name really is Growing Wings - and there's two different versions - this slow one is usually called the one from game number two, or the sad version. The other version is faster and a little more angrier.

I love this song and I love what you did with this Vid very good! I always choke up thinking of when they burned away together...playing from the first game all the way into the second and really being a part of the story...it will really get to you to see their story end that way, romantic and perfect yet awfully tragic. Too bad Nowe was such a putz and couldnt be as badass as Caim.

this song is amazing. im still trying to find it so i can download it. def started to cry when Angelus asks Caim if it's over and he says yes and we're together now. defffffffffff a really good game despite it seeming a simple and lacking game. its something worth finding and playing :]

This is the best game story i have ever played, besides Final Fantasy x :] this game is indeed difficult, and i didnt like the nightmare part :P i couldt sleep for days xD, but hey! im a pussy ;)

Well for starters it's nothing like Fire Emblem ha ha. It's actually a real time action rpg I would say. You should check it out if you're interested.

PS2 game that is somewhat action/RPG like, but with dynasty-warriors style enemy numbers on screen & flight levels (using the dragons obviously).
It's also a somewhat difficult game, the first one anyway.

I would have to say probably not. sorry for the negativity, but the second game ended pretty solid with caim dying and the world fully restored to order and chaos balence. just an opinion though. But Cavia is making a new action RPG that is nameless as of now, but that could be it.

The name really is Growing Wings - and there's two different versions - this slow one is usually called the one from game number two, or the sad version. The other version is faster and a little more angrier.
