I actually hear this if i am really tired and right before i fall asleep, and it kind of fluctuates in the back of my head from one side to the other while i also hear a slight ringing, like churchbells, only a lot faster and higher pitched. But why do i hear it? is it a form of Tinnitus? Anyone else hear it?

This happens to me too! I only hear it when there's not much sound around. My doesn't fluctuate.... Unless I want it too! Normally it's just a high pitched sound though, but you're not alone on the issue.

What she says is that the person is shown a flashing pattern of lights, and then this music is what the brain outputs.

So they are essentially "playing" the brain as an instrument. The flashing lights are the musical notation the brain is "reading", and this music is what it sounds like when "played" on the brain.

It really needs some kinda bio-feedback mechanism. The brain needs to hear what it sounds like. Otherwise it is like a deaf person trying to sing.
