People see what they want to see. Having an open mind, I don't see anything from this footage. It shows nothing. And about the canister : You mean the one being thrown at the police, or the other one being thrown at the police? Sorry, but I watched this footage a lot of times trying to see something, but I don't.
If this is obeying the terms of your permit to assemble , I would hate to see what riot looks like. This marching down a street and disobeying police orders has nothing to do with free speech. It was an unlawful assembly and everyone who participated knew it. I have no problem voicing my opinion, but free speech has limits, freedom of religion has limits, the right to carry a gun has limits, the right to assemble peacefully has limits. This was taught in high school for those who went to class.

But you forgot that there is Ariel footage which shows that explosion was on the other side of the street. The footage shows someone running up to him, possibly striking him with a camera. @Spud4X - search for it yourself, it is still on youtube. download it and zoom in and play it over and over as I did. You will have to backtrack to find Mr. Olsen by locating the crowd that swung back around. Then backtrack to where he came from. You can easily locate it because you see a strange explosion launched from within the crowd, which causes Mr. Olsen to runaway. You will then see a larger guy with a camera overtake him and Mr. Olsen then quickly drops to the ground.

BUT.. They did however announce that they would deploy chemical agents if the crowd did not disperse. All the people had fair warning. So if you stayed you knew what would happen.
