yep those are the positive and negative leads to that motor. The motor may have a + and/or - sign on it, if so red to + black to -, but if not just quickly solder them on and test the scope, if it moves in the opposite direction of the control input, reverse the leads on the motor, their backwards. Hope you can fix it or hope you did before this comment.
You already know the problem , just solder the two ends to the motor and use the cable ties to keep it from happpening again . Only problem I see is wich goes in what place. OR visit Yahoo groups " Lx200 " they have all you need schematics and Lots of plp that know this scope in and out. hope this helps. Robert P
