@Borellistudio THNX, u enjoyed it, some people saying this story is not true. but there are lots of indian books those are related to each other like history books related to each others! like KRISHNA is an avatar of GOD BISHNU,and in RAMAYAN RAM was as avatar of BISHNU!!!!!
@citizenOfNowhere777 I was not clear in my expression. The statue of Krishna was in Yosoda mother's house. That cannot be correct. Nobody knew about Krishna before that time. They knew Vishnu but not Krishna as the flute player. So the statue should not be there. Maybe I was not able to identify the statue correctly. Next time I watch, I will be careful, and report back. Sita had statue of Vishnu but not Ram. Same should be true in Mahabharat.
@IdentifiablePerson Ok, you do that and let me know. Frankly, I do not know anything about Hinduism. In fact, just today, I was thinking how people in the story don't seem to be shocked to see those demons. I mean, for us t=humans to see those demons looking like they wee, would be a paranormal experience.
Balram was the seventh . when Devaki was pregnant with him Vasudev's other wife took the pregnancy into herself hence the reaso Balram is known as the son with two mothers
MAHABHARAT ISN'T FANTASY, IT'S A DEPICTION OF REAL EVENTS.
OBVIOUSLY THE STORY HAS BEEN SENSATIONALIZED AND MODIFIED A BIT OVER THE 5000 YEARS IT'S BEEN PASSED DOWN. HOWEVER THERE IS JUST AS MUCH PROOF MAHABHARAT OCCURED AS THERE IS OF ANY OTHER RELIGIOUS HISTORY (JESUS, MOSES, BUDDHA, MAHAVIR..ETC).
@ chexpeare, I agree with you about the child playing Krishna. This child is a delight to watch! Good acting and a classically trained dancer...I'll be watching that last sequence again a few times :)
(btw, did anybody notice that when his friend went to get his mom, the first thing his friend said was "I didn't do anything"? Lol! How typical of kids! Love it!)
I think it's wonderful to hear about the Lord's pastimes as a child. They make me laugh. When one loves Krishna and is loved by Krishna, he cannot help but laugh and enjoy hearing about His pastimes. Hare Krishna!
All my contact with Mahabharat before this series has been Peter Brook's series, so I still have a problem trying to imagine the kid that steals butter and messes around with his gang will one day become the defeater of Kansa, the great Krishna of the Bagavad Gita, and will fight with the Pandavas in the Kurukshetra War. I mean, it's soooo strange...
No thats not strannge. Kishna was not an ordinary boy but incarnation of god himself. He had extraordinary powers. But he was as simple just like other mischievous kids.
Thank you Mr. Rajshri. I'm Balinese, feel very proud to watch the entire Mahabharat series, since it's very famous in Bali and Java (Indonesia), even up to this very moment.
Hi from Brazil, I just love this séries. It is so simple yet so deep, beautiful and funny. I am in love with India and The Mahabharat!

There are long gaps that go without subtitles. I feel as though I'm missing big parts of information. Wishing I spoke Hindi! -an American fan

How come there is Krishna's statue in the house, when Krishna was a little boy? Was Krishna there in India before Mahabharat?
IdentifiablePerson 9 months ago

from the Mahabharata, or is from the Scirmad Bhagatavam (spelling?) which was composed much later in history and inserted here by the movie makers?
