  • TES: Skyrim attracted Jesse and he's dumb :V

  • @TheRarehuman Jesse aint dumb, he is actoully quite smart but he doesnt show it. He is a little childish indeed but he is still intelligent. That why he is so succesful.

  • @TheRarehuman skyrim attracts everyone, because it is a good game.

  • Get gun shoot man xD

  • @JustinSeizure That's all it is, I have seen toliet paper with more depth than Call of Dooty.

  • @KITT171 Indeed. I just thought it was a really funny expression :P

  • Comment removed

  • @buzerio if you don't want to grind stats you have to buy an Action Replay and hack in pokemon with the stats you would have had if you did the grinding

as long as you haven't hacking anything illegal onto your pokemon like a lvl 1 Mewtwo, then it will still be allowed in multiplayer

  • There are also hundreds of held items, which act much like abilities but can be used by pretty much any Pokemon.

  • Pokemon all have 4 move slots, 1 ability (passive advantage that ranges from detrimental to game-breaking) from a pool of 1-3, EVs (effort value, increases stats by a flat value and obtained from grinding on wild Pokemon) for each stat that can rage from 0-252, IVs (individual value, flat value again but kept from capture/birth) for each stat ranging from 0-31, and natures (+10% to one stat, -10% to another, unchangeable) from a pool of 25. These are all min/maxed in competitive battles.

  • @soundslave physical special split, double/triple battles, critical captures, increased convenience in HM traveling, streamlined routes and cities, the obvious graphical sound and menu system updates, more compelling stories, much lengthier end game, and "adding new pokemon" IS altering the gameplay because of how adding new moves, types and stats greatly effects the game, that's like saying adding and new gun and saying it doesn't have any effect on the gameplay.

  • @HazreihelUchiha it's pokemon. A away of making money from kids throguht the use of cartoons, video games, trading cards, etc. I used to be brainwashed by it myself until I realised it was all one big marketing excersise.

  • I miss being the Pokemon Master at my school.

  • There are two parts to any new game- learning, and mastering. While learning an FPS is incredibly easy when you play again people who know what they're doing it's incredibly one sided (granted you have no clue). However for games like Pokemon once you learn what to do in each situation it's nit hard to master. It doesn't require accuracy or reaction times.

  • TB, when you talk about COD you are speaking of two completely different things. You mention fast respawn and "get gun shoot man" which is definitely a part of the game. However in competitive COD such as GBs TDM is not really played. Also respawn times are longer. Competitive has much more depth than public matches.

  • Pokémon is more complex and has a higher average aged Metagamer than CoD.

    Facts are fun! :D

  • Very exaggerated. CoD has less depth, less complexity than your normal strategic shooter, but it still has it no matter what you say TB.

OF COURSE there is more meta game than Famas & Aug Hbar.

OF COURSE there is more complexity than just get gun shoot man.

You are skinning over too much in your broad opinion, you sit down with a CoD professional & talk to him/her about meta game and complexity for stages, weapons, perks, killstreaks, equipment & any other factors & you will know you're wrong.

  • Wait wait wait... A cod mmo....... so will there be quests? Will it be cod with just the multiplayer and no story? Whoever thought of a cod mmo and paying for bungie.net the cod edition should be forced to play superman 64, E.T. Iron man 1 and 2 AND watch every bad exploitation movie that thecinemasnob has ever reviewed

  • @ralphy329 No you idiot, MMOs are not all MMORPGs.

  • @JeremyTheGraten I know that. But what im asking is what will it be. Will be an mmorpg? Just the cod multiplayer? Knowing activision they'll probably just make it the cod multiplayer and force you to pay.

  • @tntlink ouch....... ;P

  • @Deathmetalgrowl go troll somewhere else assface

  • @Turamulli Trolling? Are you high?

  • @chibiraptor maybe the online part of the game has. but on pokemon white, i could beat the entire game with one pokemon, basicly using one move. and in white the usage of HM's was nearly took out alltogether

  • @ROC3ER He was talking about the meta-game, which is the online battles. I agree, pokemon single player is ridiculously easy and not complex at all.

  • CSS>COD

  • TB mentioning gaming bars in Japan reminds me of the AFK tavern we have here in Everett, just north of Seattle XD

  • More Deus Ex: Human Revolution, please :D

  • Thumbs up if you thought that the Intro was louder than the video :o

  • @Itsanameidk it always is.

  • @Itsanameidk Thumbs up if you suck

  • NO THANKS

  • i you put skyrim on wii fit bitches would buy it

  • TOR unique?........... good one lol

  • As far as marketing builds most of the sells, you just cant disregard complexity as a factor here.

Yeah sure, grannies probably wont play a TES game, but with simpler mechanics they without a doubt could. Especialy if you can marketin it like that.

And all the raves lately on different game forums, how this and that game is to hard. More and more reviews seein high dificulty as a con. Say it doesnt matter?

Besides taking out stuff from game does not equal fixing it.

    Yes, I didint like Oblivion.

  • @PrecisionX94

He's completely right, I'm a fan of both games, and COD has no meta game, its just run and shoot, run and shoot, and you respawn iffinate times. Pokemon is much more complex but comes off to people as being simple. Where as they try and make COD sound complex with all the weapon custimazation and what not. When in actuallity it comes down to Noob Toobs and the famas. You don't believe me, then go and play a MW2 game online. Youll see no meta game there pal.

  • Pokemon Online :D

    5th Gen OU Rank 7

  • Marketing, or lack thereof

the reason JRPGs don't sell well.

  • Holy Shit!! Did i miss something here or is it i just cant understand his talking??What game is this???Looks awsome.

  • @jaspertodd

    its in the description. Singularity

  • How successful do you think Skyrim will be? Even with its dumb-ed down Skills I want it too succeed because I've been a great fan of the Elder scrolls series. Also How Much did they reduce the skill sets? And if not just too appeal to a newer audience why do you think they did that? I'm just a Bit curious :)

  • Definitely agree with you about the games with metagame vs. games like CoD.

  • he should review C&C 3 Tiberium wars or another version of C&C it is one of my favourite and most realistic RTS's ever made XD

  • hey guys, i hate to spam but checkout our channel GameStormin!

We'd love to get off the ground a bit!

  • @ImSurtia jump then

  • P.S. I play CoD, and I agree, so don't go and say I am hating on CoD. I love zombies and S&D, which require strategy and skill.

  • im a fan of guild ever since the first guild wars(proph) i've played it for about 4 years and i got to say that gw2 pissed me off, they are moving very far away from the first guild wars they are doing it in a bad way, they are trying to attract more people from WoW(in my opinion)

  • @bennythebuf i see that you hold a point with the whole leaving the original guild wars but i dont think it is WoW players that they are technically trying to attract. they are merely shaking up the mechanics and trying to create a new experience. this would be like from Dawn of War to Dawn of War 2. they keep lots of the core mechanics but change TONS more

  • @bennythebuf I'd want to disagree. That was their goal. To do a very different game from the first one. They did it, in a good way. The game itsel is unique and has original mechanics that were never done before (or weren't implemented well). People that play WoW will still play WoW because the pay for it and feel obligated to play so they don't waste their money.

  • @C4Blizzard 90% of the people who are going to buy guildwars 2 have no idea that there was 4 guild wars games. the game just reminds me of WoW, and the combat system is just miles awar different from gw1. i like some of the mechanics but some stuff pissed me off such as the, engerineer, the gaurdian(OMFG) and i hate how you cant click on other allies to heal them, its just pretty much who can do the most dmg wins, well we will just have to see how it plays

  • @bennythebuf You missed the point. You aren't there to soak damage and get healed, the point of the game is to avoid damage while doing damage at the same time, that's why there are ony aoe heals that are weak and selfheals have long cooldown even tho they are ok. You miss the meaning of sequel. This was not supposed to be a GW clone, this was supposed to be different and innovative.

  • @bennythebuf stfu, Gw1 sucks So much ass that I have only played 10minutes of it then I uninstalld it. CANT EVEN JUMP IN IT!

Gw2 will be amazing, the graphics is amazing, the story line is amazing, the pvp and roleplaying WILL BE BETTER no doubt. And there will be no race-class restrictions like in other mmo's.

  • @noobkaka567 gw1 sucks? wtf you cant jump. dude you have the brain of a 4year old.

i played gw1 for the amazing story that you skipped and for the great balanced pvp.

gw2 looks so unblanaced, mw3 looks more balanced

  • @noobkaka567 Will you be able to jump in it?

  • @bennythebuf If it was just a clone of GW1 then it wouldn't sell as well, making games is a business and they have to appeal to the masses not the individual in order to sell as many copies as possible, which is unfortunate, however I hope it is successful because it should help push and innovate MMOs for the future, the systems they are introducing will be fixing a lot of the current problems within the genre. They're not trying to attract people from wow, they're trying to innovate.

  • @bennythebuf First off, on the topic of what TB was saying, Guild Wars 2 doesn't actually have mana, as of right now. And Guild Wars 2 is definitely not trying to attract people specifically from WoW. Have you seen SWTOR? It's WoW in the Star Wars universe. It's as hotkey as you get when it comes to MMO's, and the mechanics are identical to WoW. Guild Wars 2 is moving away from the traditional hotkey MMO style because it simply isn't cutting it anymore, as you can see from the decline of WoW.

  • @YooHoo242 stop letting your guildwars fanboy spirit blind you, im not going to far into it cuz i hate your gaurdian picture, why in the world do you need Fear in guildwars? i could say more but as i said your picture sucks

  • @bennythebuf Haha wow, that was a great argument! All you did was call me a fanboy, insult my picture, and say that fear is unnecessary in GW. I can't stand the 1st GW, but I think GW2 looks amazing. And maybe you should watch a video of fear in GW2 because it last about 2 sec then it's done, it might even be less, so it's not a big deal. And when you actually have something something to say that remotely relates to what I brought up, let me know. Go ahead. Say more.

  • @bennythebuf hopefully it will still be GW in essence but with a new UI from WoW. I dont think thats bad, there is nothing wrong in copying things that work and blending them with your own work.

  • @bezoro2008 agreed but there is no point to have lvl up to 80 it was just fine at 20 and it balanced alot of stuff out. they just added a bunch of stuff that isnt really needed

  • "As you can see, there is no noticeable- AHAHAHAHA" Great point, there kinda is no true strat on COD, except get FAMAS and run around and shoot people. That's why everyone loves Pokemon...

  • Wait .

    Why are CoD Fans mad?

I'm a CoD fan and I'm fine with what he says. It's true there is no real depth, but that's not why I play CoD. I play CoD for simple interesting fun.

  • True dat! And this is exactly why COD isn't worth re-buying every time they sell an expansion as a standalone game for a AAA standalone game price. If COD only released a game when they actually had created a new game I would probably play COD. But, as they do not, I really don't want to spend $60 a year for what is effectually a subscription to an FPS franchise that isn't really that much different from the original CoD:MW I bought so long ago.

  • is the game even good?

  • Lol @ all the CoD fanboys.. CoD has a lot of shit. Cool. Doesn't change the fact that it takes almost no skill and is the same crap every year. 3 games in 3 years? Tell me, who else does that? Your buying into a franchise, not a real "in-depth" game. Stfu and gtfo

  • ok who here thought some one would shoot a gun

  • You know it gets really boring listening to everyone say cod has no depth or meta game or anything like that. It is one of the most popular franchises on the planet for a reason... Because people find it fun and constantly adding new dlc makes it even better.. People only think it is bad because of a few young children screaming and swearing at you?? Really grow up and use the mute button for it's purpose! Ignorance of people that refuse to accept that cod has been king on consoles for a while

  • To BF but when you put down cod this much it's not fair, I COULD EASILY SAY POKEMON HAS NO DEBTH TO IT ALL YOU DO IS CHUCK A BALL AT A THING but that isn't true and what you said about cod isn't either!

  • I agree but YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT COD the most popular games are search and destroy and demolition/domination the only game type which is get gun shoot man is team deathmatch and that's one of the least popular you also forgot attachments perks, killstreaks which all most be chosen carefully to get the best results that would get you to a higher level to get a better gun so you would perform better, counter strike had none you picked up a gun and shot people, I mean I don't even like cod im in

  • whats a mmo mo money mo money ouveiy

  • yes

  • Yeah, coop is dumb cause some idiot I'd play with wouldn't be patient enough to explore the world with. Well, that's just your problem jerk, don't tell companies to stop giving you more options in games 'cause of such idiotic reasons. Also, lol, more dialogue in MMOs is gonna make them less boring, that's the funniest thing I've ever heard on Mailbox ever. Finally, fuck you for leaving that disturbing video at the end.

  • Cod4 matches with promod. Nuff said.

  • @ last response, why do games need to have strategy and depth to be competitive? Why can't the competitive side be skill based about twitch reflexes, like it is in CoD? Olympic sprinting, for example, doesn't require strategy/tactics, but skill at running.

  • cod4 metagame-m16 red dot are best

  • Singularity is an amazing game :D

  • I am glad he brought up the pokemon metagame. While COD is as he said, a game with no complexity, pokemon is unendingly complex. Each pokemon can have 4 moves of about 10-15 viable options. Then, you have 6 pokemon. Then you also have the system of Effort values which increase pokemons stats ina completely different manor. Lastly, you have pokemon that tank special and physical attacks and then those that are offensive, and the most difficult task of combining them to create incredibly diverse

  • @TheNexabalus haha are you serious? how can you even begin to compare the complexity between POKEMON, a turn based strategy game, and CALL OF DUTY, a first person shooter. get over yourself because you like a game and dont like another, it doesnt mean the other game is bad dont start talking about the "metagame" of games that have nothing to do with eachother thinking your game is superior to the other

  • @PrecisionX94 Did you even see the video? TotalBiscuit was talking about it, you're aiming this towards TB too with your comment.

  • @TheNexabalus did you just compare CoD to pokemon?

  • @Sarnius26 Do you have eyes? Do you see COD and Pokemon in that paragraph? If so, did you really need to ask clarification on the topic?

  • @TheNexabalus okay.....dude whatever and it was a rhetorical question...........

  • @luckygozer do you not read my post, the lag exsists just from the nature of the medium your using, its just so tiny you don't usually perceive it. However certain ethernet cards tend to make this problem larger. Also age does not have much to do with reaction time, muscle memory and experience tend to decrease reaction time much more than age.

  • @MrAber28 you just basicly repeated me on the lag thing

yes there is lag its not noticeable tho its like everyone playing on a 5 bar

and then there just being one bloke playing on a 4.9999 bar :P ( i say 5 bar becaus black ops online 4 bar is still bad compared to lan hihi)

anyway now its just gonna go from no yes no yes kinda thingy which is useless

  • I agree with the second part of the second question completely. My friend and I have been begging for a coop experience in a game like Oblivion for a long long time. It shouldn't be an MMO, but multiplayer options (2-4 people) would be amazing.

  • yes what game is this?

  • I completely agree with what you said about skyrim. Honestly, no one else makes games like Bethesda, so take your cake and quit complaining!

  • what game is he playing?

  • Fake and gay

  • Get gun shot man. sounds complicated.

  • Youtube/reggiewriteous

  • As a former competitive Counter Strike player, I'm glad to finally hear a CoD fan realises those truths. People play CoD for fun? Good on them. But for competition? Poor FPS... R.I.P.

  • STFU

  • I agree that Bethesda has make the Elder Scrolls series dumber and dumber. Not by decreasing the number of skills but by, for example, introducing the 'quest pointer' on the compass instead of giving you directions by documents or dialog.

I kinda miss the need to explore and discover things on your own...

  • Get gun, shoot man.

Paint the man, cut the lines.

  • Boring

  • 58 peoples emails didnt get read

  • guild wars 2 doesn't have mana ya sillypony, the "energy" you use is used for dodge and dodge alone IIRC

  • @NekoNyanYan12 I disagree black ops is a new player friendly game why i dont play it.

I play MW2 and more people on Mw2 play SnD then TDM the reason is that people at that point want a challenge compared to die and instant respawn. So i would say all the community is that bad. The ones who play it and get bored after a week might be the ones on Black ops. I seem to find more little kids and adults that are so childish if it wasn't for their voice you couldn't tell whether or not he was a kid.

  • @Duelkill21 Well i would agree with you there, I am not saying that MW2 no one plays Search or it's the least played. Black Ops is played because its the new CoD game and lets face it little kids want the newest coolest thing ever.... The little kids pretty much have left the MW2 online community, not all but most of them. still playing Search doesn't mean that CoD games now have this learning curve that players have to face.

  • @Duelkill21 If there is a learning curve to CoD there is a very small one or atleast getting used to FPS's. I am a MMORPG, RTS and Fighting game gamer. my first Online FPS was Halo which too a while to get used too because of shields and life system. After about a 6 year hiatus from FPS my friend told me to play Modern Warfare, It really didn't take much to get the hang of it, of course the whole aim down thing was new to me but i got the hang of it a few hours later. skill comes in now and then

  • Get gun, shoot man. Sounds like a caveman would be able to play it xD

  • GET GUN SHOOT MAN

  • Gahhh!!I want to play oblivion again! but id spend ages downloading mods and then forgetting about it! Q.Q

You've talked about this before TB if I remember correctly.

I don't suppose a best mods video would be possible? I know oblivion is old but There are so many people who go through the same mess as I do with oblivion and installing mods.

  • Guild wars, runescape, zu online was a my style of MMOs. Runescape holds memories as a child. But guild wars holds a memory for its innovative story driven co-op gameplay. I think the instancing worked for it. It was about skill and not about the amount of time you been playing which is in turn, grinding. But also the zones, Guild wars 2 has zones I just want to explore, and that plays a large part for me with MMOs, community and skill custimization as well. Guild wars2 for me... Guild wars 2...

  • Get gun - shoot man.

  • @14:29 LOL cuz they R best wepuns! xD

  • Wow, this joshuagardder77 is really shocked by this obvious iPad scam. I think he needs to come to terms with it...

  • id say moshi mosters is the best community :D

  • Sometimes it frustrates me how I always 100% agree with TB.

  • Guild Wars 2 doesn't have Mana anymore. They recently trashed it for a different system.

  • 18y45y 2776c6 70aip ar8t20c

  • what game is this?

  • @Tanatbenbenpoppop

    Singularity

  • why is it that whenever somone mentions cod you go on about it for so long

    we get it

  • Are you a game developer? If not I think maybe you should be...

  • pokemon meta game is by far the most exciting and challenging game that i currently play

  • @Cyrahi lol in pokemon i will NEVER go by the metagame, i'll spam you with ditto :D

  • The main problem with MMO's is not the game itself, but rather peoples ability to play it without turning into fucking twats!

Wow in particular has a tendency to produce grade-A elitist assholes, induced by how the game is structured and it's general goals, which however should not be a problem. 99% of WoW players simply cannot resist this gravity of effect, myself included, though i put up a hell of a fight and quit when i noticed a change in my personality in-game.

  • @surg23 Tell me about it, there are guys who are complete angels until loot enters the equation, then the daggers come out and you're fucked over by people who were supposed to be friendly. Sadly enough, pretending to be a girl is the only defense against it - if the same pricks think you're a girl they practically eat out of your hands, which is a sad state of events when you have to half-cyber with utter wankers just to gain anything in the game.

Of course, that could just be my experience...

  • @surg23 That also goes for LoL, HoN, CS, CoD, BF and every other game that have any sort of teamplay or online play in it.

  • @surg23 Completely agree, My friends have never been the same after the WoW craze hit my school. Damn, I hate assholes who boast about their 15 level 85 characters. WE. DON'T. GIVE. TWO. SHITS.

  • @surg23 Does not compute. Statement is false.

  • FFS, Wow is not dying.

  • pin8f ky2 i8x0p8 48xf

  • On the subject of "dumbing down" the elder scrolls, what about those of us who love complex games? Removing various mechanics and skills just because they may not be entirely necessary does negatively affect how much I like the game. The example you used of lockpicking vs hacking in Deus Ex desn't really apply because none of the skills in Morrowind remove later like "mysticism" or "spear" ever limited you. If you ever wanted/needed something you could go and train it, and it gave you options.

  • Call of duty 4 has a meta game, certainly on PC where it's mainly played competitively. Much like Counterstrike

  • @jeremyfarrconn76 stop spamming u arsehole, Ur taking the piss

  • if they combined gw2 and swtor it would be the best mmo ever, where one falls short the other picks up.

  • serious complexity + CoD = DOES NOT COMPUTE MUST KILL SELF!

  • hsf 8l718n 7476 21jcj

  • Marketing.... the secret to WoW no one knows how bad it actually is. But hey marketing....

  • Hey add me for a chat, i'm soooo bored

    amy_m97@hotmail.co.uk

  • Great ending.:D

  • holy fuck its singularity. I thought I was the only person that bought this.

  • Hey TB, i just wanted to say when you mentioned pokemon having only 4 abilities limiting the complexity, Do you remember a game called League of Legends? DotA?

Do those games suffer from under-complicated Meta-games?

  • @HeroicStudi0s

em no... in LoL for example you have summoner spells, runes, masteries and even more... That adds more meta game. And ye u have berrys, potion and what not in Pokemon but u have kinda same things in Lol Dota HoN 2.

  • @andrun2

I know, im just generalizing what hes talking about, you have runes masteries etc but there are general equivalents in Pokemon and other things you don't even have in LoL, i just dont have the time to specify.

  • @HeroicStudi0s i dont think he was saying it was uncomplicated because of 4 abilities i think it was more so the fact they had 4 abilities made it more complex because you had limited skills for each pokemon the same in a moba game

  • Ohh, the TOR Companions system is original in MMOs, they obviously didnt take it from GW or anything!

  • @SockMunsta First off GW1 isn't even a MMO. It's an Online RPG like PSO. Second, GW wasn't the first game or online game to offer companions.

Having companions is very KOTOR. It makes sense that when KOTOR entered the MMO genre that they'd keep certain aspects like companions. TOR's use of companions is much different than Guild Wars btw...it's more like KOTOR's. One of the main reasons they are there is for your "personal story".

  • You are wrong about COD having no sort of metagame and you (and I'm not blaming you because you clearly don't play it) but there is a very large competitive scene that does edit the game modes and the guns that you are able to use.

If you were to play on a competitive website such as Decerto or saw some of the proper matches then you would think differently.

  • @PhinlaxXD Actually those games are notorious in the competetive scene for having virtually no depth at all. there are call outs and a small emphasis on positioning but other than that its mostly "who has the best reflexes in this situation".

  • @EbonMaster That was true before Black Ops, but things have changed A LOT since then and now a team of players that know what they are doing but have relatively low level reflexes would beat a pick up team of players with a high level of reflexes easily.
