@aubripope my experience is that most times once you get them on their rumps they calm down and it also gets better with each shearing. but my goats were the same. I would mostly notice the fight and struggle while getting them together and when trying to sear with them standing. it may be different for others
Are the sheep sedated, or do they just sit still for that? I use to have goats, and let me tell you, you could never shear those things unless they were passed out. It is fascinating how different sheep are; it certainly gives a new perspective about the name "'Lamb' of God". Thanks for sharing :)

I love this video but it makes me feel bad for them in some way...at least it grows back. How are the sheep kept warm after the sheering and the winter months come in? Do their coats grow quick?
@Friulana1954 These sheep have wool that grows so fast it would not feel good to them if they were not sheared twice a year. Their wool grows an inch a month. So the shearers cut it off at 6 inches twice a year (October and May). This shearer was in his 40's and started shearing when he was 11. He knows how to do a good job without hurting the sheep.
