The wife and I checked this museum out in 2008 on my first visit to NYC. It was very interesting and cool to see example cars from the different eras that you could go through.
@BeMyBigHero Because the someone simply changed the rollsign to shea stadium, its a rollsign you can change it to anything on the roll by turning a knob.
Yeah, you should definitely go check it out. There's a lot to learn. Remember to take some pictures or even better.... film it & share it with the rest of us on youtube.
It's a pretty interesting museum. You get to go inside and sit there as if it was still running. The setting is a real train station which they closed down a long time ago. You should definitely go. And thanks for watching.
7 train is the Redbird that takes you to Shea stadium

The R17 did not run on the 7 to the mets game. The ones that were on the 7 were the R33's

@trainboyrob Thanks for clarifying that for me.

@trainboyrob Then why did the sign in the window panel actually say, "Shea Stadium, Queens"?

I've been to Grand Central, but never took a train from there. I hope when you do, you can shoot some video & share it with us.
Indeed. My gf & I had a blast at the museum. We were pretending, acting as if we were taking the train back in the days.
