  • if u dont agree with same sex marrige ...dont marry the same sex lol

  • LMAO! "Hey hey hey, where are you going?" "im thirsty" "well, me too"! ahahaha!

  • Homosexuality is an abomination in God's eyes...

  • @GTCism really?? God made us all in his image. And if it is an abomination, then its between gay people and god. Its none of your business to tell someone how to live. He who is without sin cast the first stone. sweetie you arent without sin.

  • @GTCism "Homosexuality is an abomination in God's eyes."

Actually, in God's eyes, you're an abomination; as are the vast majority of American quasi-fascists who use relgion as a front for their ultra-nationalist, pro-war, racist stupidfuckery.

And don't you even try to reply to me, you fuck. Worthless motherfucks . . . every single one of hypocrite fake Christian fascist fucks. Ioath every one of you motherfucing fucks. I hope you all motherfucking DIIIIIE.

  • @bapyou Quasi-fascists? There's no need to use that prefix.

  • "am thirsty, well me too!" HAHAHA

  • The problem is most people have lost the ability to disagree on something without resorting to name calling and getting defensive. It's the same for any hot topic - ie, politics, abortion, etc.

  • Saw a GREAT sign at a Prop 8 protest in DC: "Gay marriage = less gay sex. Does that help?"

  • HOLY SHIT-

    BILL AND TED GOT MARRIED?!

    MOST FUCKING RIGHTOUS MAN

  • Is this a DVD? What is it called? I'm British and I really wanna try and find it in the UK...

  • I love you Wanda!!!

  • lol Wanda is so dam fine.. funny as hell though

  • this is so gay

  • So..... only 31 people have any sence?

  • seperation of church and state. objecting to gay marriage is a DIRECT violation of that.

  • @maketheworldsmile3 do you have a copy of the constitution and the amendments? separation of church and state, those words are NOT in there. There are words that state the government cannot create a religion that is of course the reason the ancestors left britian. I do not want a theocracy. Look at how that works in the muslum world. Objecting to gay marriage is NOt a direct violation of that. maybe in your mind. again, I am against a theocracy. God will set up His kingdom in due time.

  • To all the religious people NEWSFLASH not everyone is christian and not everyone wants to be so piss off try using any other argument against gay marriage based in logic and reasoning. WITHOUT USING RELIGION TO BASE IT UPON there is no reasonable reason to oppose it besides bigotry.

  • @stargate55746

i dont think you should criticize all Christians because Christians have different views too.

im a Christian and i support homosexual rights. im straight, but i believe in equality and human dignity.

  • @12zuzus I know I don't critisize all christians only those who use it to justify bigotry I myself am wiccan and have no problems with any peaceful religion, Many of my friends are christian we get along fine. my view is very simple hate is not a family value nor a christian one no one should ever use religion to justify hatred or oppression of any minority for any reason.

  • @stargate55746 could y'll shut up please and enjoy the humor.

  • @12zuzus then u are not a christian. sorry, words (like christian) mean specific things. making your own definition won't work.

  • @me86680

i am a christian. i was baptized when i was 5 years old, had communion when i was 7 years old and was confirmed when i was 13 years old. i know sacraments dont determine whether you are a true christian or not, but i do believe in God.

anyways, who are you to be telling me that im not a christian?

i dont need your permission; you cant tell me who i am. i know who i am.

and stop trying to sound smart, will you? just enjoy wanda's stand up. jeez :)

  • @stargate55746 Being gay myself, the argument against gay marriage has nothing to do with religion or bigotry. It has to do with civilization.

  • brilliant and funny

  • lmao Bill and Ted

  • Bill and Ted? Excellent!

  • Fuck your god and this isnt the place for your religious bullshit..if you want to talk bout that make believe crap...do it where its called for..this is comedy... Wanda..you are the shit girl!!! keep sayin what needs to be said!!

  • Who is greater? Your Creator or what man who wrote on paper and made it a law? The first amendment will parish, so has the men who wrote it. Think with your mind- your soul lives forever. I swear by God that you will stand striped of all you hide from in the sight of God. There will be no excuses on that inevitable Day of Judgment. What will you say to your Creator why you do your perverted actions- what will you say? Will you say that you were protected by the first amendment of America?

  • @kourtoubi god may outlast individual humans and nations, but mankind has outlasted Zeus, Odin, Quatzecolt etc. It will outlast Yahweh and Allah. The world is easily older than the bible claims, the world and mankind is older and more multifaceted what the bible says.

And before you go "it's symbolic", I'm sure that's what the greek said when people first climbed on mount Olympus and found no gods.

  • Fear God!

  • 2funny

  • b4 she came out the closet

  • OHMYGOD how cool is she xD

  • hahahahahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wanda Sykes is an amazing woman and I love her views on everything. She has no problem voicing her opinion and telling you like it is.

  • im fuckin for gay marriage! if you're not take wanda's advice "DONT MARRY SOMEONE OF THE SAME SEX." why does it have to get so complex and shit?

  • All of the "Great Empires" of the past have fallen in part or great part of hedonistic lifestyles. Wether straight gay or otherwise.

  • @rochillz How is that? I am not being smart, just ignorant.

  • "make marriage like the mafia: Ones you're in - YOU'RE IN" hahaha :D

  • I concur that the government needs to stay out of every aspect of our business, unless the local government needs to be envolved. To say that this country isn't founded on Christian basics, is in error. roughly 80% of the founding fathers had a strong faith in God. Many founding fathers wrote multiple works on their faith and the need for God. I read information about this and people still want to disagree. Fine We can agree to disagree. I know, incoming ; )

  • @jmzsil: Which Founding Fathers? Washington was a freemason, Jefferson definitely wasn't a Christian, Franklin was a deist and Hamilton used Christianity only for his political purposes.

  • @jmzsil "strong faith in God" does NOT imply Christianity. Muslims, Jews and Christians all worship the SAME God. Futher, if you do some very basic research on the "founding fathers", your will find they were mostly deist and not Christians although they *might* have had "a strong faith in God".

  • She's so right!

  • Wanda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • She believes in gay marriage...and she's gay lol. Not too surprising an opinion she has on the topic :) (I'm assuming this concert was before she came out)...

  • @endorphinz don't matter really, everything she said is spot on.

  • @endorphinz There are many lesbian and gay people who are actually not for same sex marriage. I did lots of advocacy in the early 90's and there were MANY lesbians who argued 'I don't want to replicate what straight people have". They were wrong. Everyone should have the right to make the decision for themselves.

  • @roccoh21 -- Yeah, but she said that she could only understand marching or protesting things that effect her, and gay marriage was an issue that didn't effect her lol...so that's why I said she must not have come out yet when she made that statement.

  • i think she's a very funny woman but like jim carey she's better as a comic actor than a stand up comedian

  • @OutOnBailNow - your attitude is shit

  • whats weird is i look at her and she reminds me so much of Richard Pryor the way she moves around stage

  • "if your marriage is fucked up, it's because YOU fucked it up"

  • "If u dont blv in same sex mrg thn dont marry smbdy of the same sex"! Classic one. Marriage should be like the mafia.lol@once you are in,you stay in.

  • 1:49

    so funny and SO TRUE

  • Wanda is a national treasure! :o)

  • MARRAIGE according to the cacholic chruch was this way till the church changed the rules on it and divorce i nthe fifties

shes right tho. - santticty of marriage is about YOUR ass- not ur neibors

  • Government should NOT be involved in this.

    TRUE THIS!

  • @showmethelight TRUE THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wanda Sykes is the best! Officially funniest woman in America!!!

  • @FancyOwls not only in america but in the whole world!!!! love her!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @FancyOwls I feel that Ellen is way better. but that is just me.

  • Wanda should be hosting the tonight show!

  • What I find funny (apart from the razor sharp wit of this woman!) is the comments referincing gay being a sin or it going against god etc etc...if you don't agree with people being gay why the hell did you search for this in the first place!?

I want her to come over the the UK, she's so funny. Her racist dolphin sketch is hilarious!

"Fuck you, racist ass dolphin, hope you get caght up in a tuna net!" Lmao!

  • If your marriage is fucked up, it's cuz you fucked it up! I love Wanda! "I'll start the million alcoholics march!"

  • That's what I am workin' for... one of those NASA mattresses...OR NO "bunch of chumps" I gotta worry for my MATTRESS!? Luv ya WANDA...you got it right, Well, with what we have.

  • I am not gay but, I read the court documents verbatim on one state in US in debate...OMG! Seriously, the arguments against it, oh, HI BIBLE! in a free religion country...OMG!

  • the only reason your comment sucks is that its thinly veiled antiamericanism.ur prolly not American & u need to bitch some how about USA - we have 300 million people in USA & FIFTY state Constituions.

SO.- you keep reading, ull read alot, you can also read that theres gay marriage in a handful of US states which while people always think Europe EG is oh so liberal, they still dont have full marraige but something "almost equal" to it. POLAND EG cant even have a gay march

  • Europe is a continent, not a country. Gay marriage is entirely equal in the UK.

  • I'm truly sorry to involve myself in this religious bull, but unless my view of Christianity is skewed, aren't focal points love and acceptance?

Then again, in the past Christianity has justified racism and slavery, so.. :|

  • @RebelWinterwolf Yeah, but so has Islam. Islam doesn't really embrace love or acceptance either...

  • @RebelWinterwolf

That's kinda the point. You could just, 1, condemn the current Bible, then 2, write your own nice version without the supernatural or psychotic bollocks. Most people move onto the second part before the first - they pretend their utopian Bible and their actual Bible are one and the same thing. Which is a problem because then we've got to deal with all that talking snake, every-species-on-a-boat, slaughter the first born bullshit and Jesus-was-only-ever-super-nice bullshit.

  • @RebelWinterwolf

From what I have heard from a lot of Christians it is vengence and punishment. (I think jealousy and wrath show up from time to time)

  • @RebelWinterwolf

Are you a homosexual? Aren't you concerned that the Bible teaches condemnation for homosexual behavior? Do you believe the Bible is the Word of God? If not then you do not have the fear (reverance) of God in your heart. He is the Creator and we are the Creation. He never gives the creation the right to evaluate Him. He designed marriage between a man and woman ONLY.

  • @DaPoncher dude we dont care about your decon ranting, considering the fact gays have been commiting sucide if there was a god that kind of shit would not have happen like wanda said if you not in same sex marriage well mind your own fucking business, I'm a church person as well but i dont believe in the fact that people should be force or their civil rights be talking away.

  • @domipurcell

Am surprised you claim to be a chruch person with the language and position you take. You are a good example of why not to go to church

  • @DaPoncher the Bible is man's interpretation of God's word. If it were truly the word of God, why are there multiple editions and testaments? There are arguments on both sides of that coin. Just because a group of people believe in one set of moral and ethical values, doesn't mean the whole world has to follow those teachings. That's why God gives people the option to follow him, or to not. You will just go to Hell if you don't follow his laws.

  • @RebelWinterwolf You are partially correct. Repentance and living for Christ is the result of someone being a true Christian.

  • @DaPoncher xtians pick and choose which laws of the bible to abide by. how many children have been killed for cursing their parents as recommended in the same chapter of leviticus that says gays are an abomination or witches should be stoned to death. people who believe in the literal truth of the laws of the old testament are not distinguishable from islamic fundies. a plague on both your houses.

  • @RebelWinterwolf You are semi correct. You don't condemn the person, the Bible is very clear on that. It's the act you don't approve of. Christians are suppose to love people, especially those who are in sin.

I'm a Christian and I'm not going to hate someone because their gay. I have a couple of gay friends myself and while I don't agree with it, I'm not going to cut them out of my life either. God doesn't want you doing that.

The whole issue is a hot topic with most people anyway...

  • I LOVE YOU WANDA!!!! TE AMO

  • seeing most of the religious comments i feel i should have a say. i am a gay catholic and the funny thing is ive had religion thrown in my face so many times. i feel its ridiculous to be judged by a book. also if we all lived by the bible life would be dull eg for most of u guys wouldnt be allowed to masturbate

  • ohh and 0:50 to 1:10

  • ummm seriously are you having the argument about religious things on a YOUTUBE video of a COMEDIAN'S view of gay Marriage... did you watch the video... if you did, did she once talk about the different religions? and my last point There are little to no user accounts that actually are or act like adults on here its kind of pointless to bring acting like a child into any argument on here.

Back on to my comment to the video I loved 1:49 to 2:24

  • It's called a discussion, it was between two people, you don't like it, don't read it. Pretty simple. and WANDA SYKES IS FUCKING AWESOME!

  • its kinda hard not to read it when you two have taken over pretty much the whole page with this 'discussion'.

  • it's really not that hard to not read something you don't want to. Not to mention, you're watching the movie right??/

  • what movie? the Wanda clip?

  • I love me some Wanda.

  • Most marriages Biblical had very little to do with religious practice, but community standing, social and self .preservation.

  • separation of church and state is slightly mythical, but you made an excellent point.

  • you seriously believe that?

  • damn it it's not a CHURCH!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jewish Church? Wow, I can see why they won't let you, YOU'RE A MORON! Jews don't call their places of worship churches. They call them Temples, Synagogues, etc...

  • so you have nothing better to do than argue semantics??

lol you're waste of time. log the fuck off, dickhead.

  • typical response from someone who has point in a argument and has been exposed. It's sad that your hatred is in the name of G-d and the fact of the matter is what you say is the farthest from Godly. You say I'm arguing semantics, and you're right, because the definition of semantics is "to define the meaning or meaning of a word or words" (Webster). How can you take a position on what the Bible says if you don't know what the word actually means in it's original language and context? You can't!

  • you call me "typical" yet can still find the time to respond to me 4 times. lol. nice.

sadly tho, i didn't read any of them and yes, i realize i just misspelled "though".

  • You state you didn't read my comment, yet you know I mention the word typical. I have come to the conclusion that your reading comprehension is very low. I didn't call you typical, I said you were acting typical in your response, as do other people with no point, by calling names. I respond because the other side of the argument must be presented. Other people read youtube comments as well. So, when you are faced with a counter argument you result in name calling and childish games? How adult.

  • you again? LOL!

  • That's the problem with a large number of people of "faith" who obtain their opinion from a sacred text, they don't know what it actually says. I have learned Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic so that I can read the Bible in it's original text and gather true understanding. I suggest you do the same otherwise you may draw the wrong conclusion, as in this case, and it will surely give a bad name to your faith.

  • Also, you get mad because you cannot receive the ceremony of a Bar Mitzvah. A BM is a ceremony at which a Jewish boy "becomes" a man. It is achieved by gaining a certain level of understanding in Judaism. When you call the center of worship for Jews a "church" you clearly demonstrate your lack of understanding of that faith, which as I stated is a reason for Bar Mitzvah. BM in Hebrew actually means "Son of the Commandments". It is similiar to a Catholic Confirmation in requiring one be educated

  • in the ways of Catholisim. I am sure you would must likely not get confirmed if you called a Priest a Rabbi or a church a temple. It's kinda like calling a dog a cat.

  • holy fuck dude get over it its youtube...

  • Holy fuck dude, it's two people talking, why do you care? DUMBASS!

  • oh i'm the dumbass? yea that makes sense...wow just lil old me sitting over here NOT debating religion and gay marriage on a comedians video...yep thats me, a dumbass

  • yeah, you are a dumbass, and slow as shit!

  • well you're a dumb ass for watching this if you don't agree with it and then acting like you're a smart person, when really, you're proving this on youtube where the character count is 500! go get a life and get off youtube...

  • Have you noticed your punctuation marks and how unnecessary the use of so many of them was?

  • Why this, sudden attack on my spelling & writing.

  • Let's go with man-made laws, instead of those "put forth" by a fairy.

  • To pretend that the U.S. owes its position due to Christianity is arrogant hubris.

The treaty of Tripoli clearly states: "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion"

Furthermore, denying equal rights IS a situation where "it is broke", so obviously it DOES need fixing.

  • i totally agree i hate being treated as a second class citizen i have often contemplated moving to another country because of the rights i am denighed here

  • @stargate55746 come to europe, spain, portugal, holland, norway, sweden, belguim all give the same rights were as uk, germany, france etc are nearly there lol

  • @lookingforit66 The treaty is idyllic, but false. To make a senate seat, or really anywhere in the government, you have to be married and belong to a church. The rules are unwritten, obviously, but they are strictly enforced. For example, when it was discovered that President Bill Clinton cheated on his wife, he was put up for impeachment.

I think you would be hard pressed to find any President in the last 50 years that was an atheist, or of an alternative religion.

  • @lookingforit66 it doesn't matter what the country is founded on, the importent thing is what the countries leaders are founded on.

  • @lookingforit66 This country isn't founded on Christianity; you are correct. However, Christianity is everywhere in our country. "In God We Trust" on our money, "God Bless America" in our national anthem, swearing on the Bible in court (and if you don't that is frowned upon by most, sadly), etc. So, OFFICIALLY we aren't a Christian nation, but UNOFFICIALLY we are a Christian nation. I am a Christian, but I think it's unfair to those who aren't when God is everywhere in our government.

  • We violated separation of church and state. That's why this conflict exists. That's where we need to deal with it.

  • While I agree that homosexuality is definitely not a sin and homosexuals are entitled to equal rights and practice under law. I think you should read a little more into "church and state". It doesn't have as much legitimacy as one may think. There is definitely a balance, but religion does not have to be separate from government.

  • The Godly principles of repression and denial of basic rights to human citizens? I was born in america, I didn't just "come along" out of nowhere and say "Hey America gimme some rights!" Homosexuality is a part of human nature. Some people are gay, most aren't. It's how our genes worked out. To think that we gays just came out of nowhere looking to corrupt america is retarded!! Didn't christians found countries in europe, did we just "come along" to corrupt them too? Gimme a break.

  • doesnt the bible say, thou shalt not be a prick? im sure it does somewhere.... in at least some sort of context like that...

  • It's funny to watch Christians pretend that they somehow *invented* marriage or that they should have an exclusive right to how the term is used...

When Christian heterosexuals gave themselves over 1,000 rights and benefits from the government just for being married?

That's when they lost the claim to the term...

It's pretty messed up (and selfish) to insist that gays pay taxes for marital benefits that are refused to them...

  • Awesome video! Bring it on Wanda!

  • Comment removed

  • lmao

  • I love the less marching more leaning lol

  • Maybe I could F you in your @ss!! Priceless!!! I am all for gays getting married!...people all up in arms over shit that affect them! Spot on!

  • Comment removed

  • I say we ban evangelical Christianity. What a bunch of assholes. Let them see what it feels like to get attacked with your own constitution.

  • I'd rather burn in hell for all eternity than hang out in fucking boring old heaven with a bunch of hateful Christians. Honestly, my friend, the nicest most Christlike people I've ever met are atheists. I'm definitely NOT impressed with the morality of judgmental, mean-spirited Christians such as yourself. As for hell, if you're not there I probably will enjoy it!!! God Bless sweetie!

  • Not all Christians are judgmental asshole. I am a Christian and I support homosexual marriage 100% because G-d loves everyone and wants all people to be happy. But I do see your point. Crazy ass "Christian" give real believers a bad rep.

  • I appreciate that:) Thanks for your support and happy new year!

  • that defeats the purpose of the 1st Amendment, that would make you no better than them.

  • WHAT ATILASHIP? You think gays should come up with a new name for marriage because you and your people came up with the name? WTF! No one alive today came up with that name or the idea. Marriage is marriage. Its pledging your devotion to someone you love. Don't say you agree and then make some prejudice messed up comment like that.

  • Actually no where in the bible is it defined that marriage is between a man and woman. They were the only ones being married but the bible recalls many homosexual relationships. No where does it state its between a man and a woman. Furthermore why does it matter what other people are doing in their relationships should we all be minding our own business.

  • but the bible clearly states that homosexuality is wrong. Leviticus 18:22, 24 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind, it is abomination. Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things

  • yes but, but if you read leviticus as a whole, its all about harvesting, "you shouldn't wear linen and wool together" "you shouldn't plant two seeds in the same pod", that single paragraph doesn't fit in. There are so many things in the old, as well as the new testament, that has been abolished as a "sin" because it is so ridiculous.

  • oh and, in the catholic bible, it becomes a lot worse. In that paragraph in their bible, it further goes on to say "he should be put to death." how do you kill someone without commiting the 6th commandment: Thou shalt not kill? Christianity as a whole has a lot of holes in it.

  • The sixth commandment is often misquoted, the Hebrew text actually reads "they shall not murder". It is possible to kill someone as an act of justice, as described in the Bible, but as my comment above states, the Bible says to kill a male who shaves. Clearly things have change, as is the case in homosexuality.

  • yeh, thats true, and the bible also says "you shouldnt wear linen and wool together" "you shouldnt plant two seeds in the same pod"... oh wait hold on.. these arent sins anymore... your bible seems to be a little, how should we say... screwing itself?

  • you're right about ppl being put to death if they broke a law back in the old testament days. well, who's law is higher? man or God's?

  • @JinXuanJun yours, apparently - all hail jin...

  • G-d's, however we also know that G-d has change the stipulations of his covenant with his people, the physical death no longer applies to legit sin, it's a spiritual death. Before you place judgment maybe you should really see what G-d thinks. The Bible says it is far worse to be judgmental and not love than to commit a sexual sin, of which homosexuality is not.

  • it's not the Bible that is the problem, it's those who don't know how to read it and discern it. I am a Christian and know that homosexuality is NOT a sin anymore. It's extremist that give religion a bad name. People need to love a little more and see what that can do... a lot!

  • @JinXuanJun Galations 2:38, mthukfr.

  • That's the Old Covenant, Leviticus also states that I must get my slaves from other nations (25:44), eating shellfish is a abomination (11:10), a handicapped person shall stay away from the altar of G-d (21:18-23), males should NOT shave (19:27), must not eat of pig (bacon) or touch their carcass (football). I could go on but I think I have made my point, the things of the Old Covenant no longer apply. If they do, you should protest the NFL and CVS for selling razors at a minimum.

  • If you feel the need to take from Leviticus maybe you should take the principle in 19:18 "...love your neighbor as yourself. I am the L-RD."

  • Not to mention, the ceremonial service and customs we see at weddings today are not Biblical, in fact some of the customs are derived from Pagan Rome. Do you really think Adam and Eve exchanged rings and recited vows?? HAHAHA

  • nah

  • I agree with her, if they want to "protect" marriages, they should make it be like the mafia, once you're in you're in. How would you "protect" marriage when you can not prevent divorcing?

  • LOL! "Look at them happy-ass gays" XD

  • What do you mean?

  • I watched her HBO special last night! Was fuckin hilarious! She is awesome!
