To kdavidmcd, if you had him sign a non-disclosure agreement, he's toast - sue him, or threaten to and work out some agreement. If you don't have a non-disclosure agreement, but you have some proof that you disclosed your idea confidentially and he stole it, get a free initial consultation with an attorney and find out if you have a case.

I invented an iphone app three years ago and could only afford a provisional patent. After talking with a developer during the protected year of the provisional patent and emails were exchanged( which I still have) he asked about the idea. After telling him the idea via email, he cut off communication. Two days ago a friend called to tell me she could download MY app. After looking into it's development, the guy's name and company is directly involved in it's development. I can prove it....
