THE SMB3 intro are all from JAPAN: SMC: the sounds like t-tt-t-t-llllllllllllllll-BOOM­!

In japan version if you have a power-up or suit, if you receive damage directly you go to regular mario.

exactly in the intro, the koopa hits mario (racoon mario) and he go directly to regular mario O_o

Look closely at the EU/US release game menu. It's exactly the same. Each game is place by release. Super Mario Bros, Super mario bros 2, Super Mario USA and Super Mario Bros 3. USA is called "2" in it even though it's the 3rd game. Mario is still holding up his 2 fingers on the lost levels which was another way of denoting that it was the second game.

@Luigi84289 It pisses me off they aren't retitling the US/EU releases properly for the new All Stars. You can buy the real mario 2 on the wii for 6 bucks, everyone knows lost levels is 2 now.

@Petebindestrek92 Not really. Gunpei Yokoi made the Super Mario Land series, Wall jumping would make it too easy and Super Mario World needs an extra button for the Spin Jump.  I'm hoping to save up enough Club Nintendo Stars to get the SNES Classic controller for the Wii.

Notice that the characters are slightly more animated in the Super Mario Collection title screen than in Super Mario All-Stars. The Goomba opens its mouth, Bob-Omb's fuse is lit (a little difficult to see due to video quality), and Birdo's eyes look back and forth. Also, in the Super Mario All-Stars+Super Mario World title, Bowser's face looks a little less flat.

Can "Super Mario Collection" be played on the snes or not?

Ive noticed some things that u and I know:

1. "Super Mario Bros 2" (j) is actually "Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels" witch was not first released in us(it was too hard)

2. "Super Mario Bros 2" (u) is actually "Doki Doki Panic"

3. "Super Mario USA"(j) is our version of mario 2

lost levels also was not going to be used in the states cause the usa company of nintendo wanted something different than another game that looked too much like mario 1 so they got doki doki panic's rights and made one for us since they figured the consumers here wouldn't want to play a game very similar to the first. if you google it it tells more, but personally i would of wanted the original game for more of a challenge, i thought our 2 was ok. your point is very true too, i agree.

La edición original de la colección de Mario en Japón son las mismas que en Estados Unidos, sólo con la diferencia que para que los juegos de Mario tuvieron problemas en llegar a Estados Unidos; de allí el problema de los nombres

bueno la diferencias que note eran

-las voces cuando estan en el titulo

-los graficos ta que para la version americana y europea(son las mismas)notienen las letras de colores cambiantes

-los titulos(solo en smb2(jap) smb2(resto del mundo)

-y el del world solo le encuantro la suma del mario world con los graficos extra del titulo(smas)y que el mario world tiene mas años en la parte de abajo del title screen
