It only works once, as soon as Dogmeat's puppy dies, your screwed.

You are wrong. When dogmeats puppy dies another one will appear either where he died or at vault 101. You can actually use this perk to get very evil karma by repeatedly killing dogmeat and his puppy. Also the puppy had twice the hitpoints of the original dogmeat so he is better any way.

you get fawkes at vault 87 during the main quest, and I don't know about dogmeat.

Dogmeat is at Scrapyard, south from Minefield or northeast from Vault 101, past the Potomac River.

You have to go through the main quests to get fawkes (he is in vault 87 and you rescue him from a chamber and he gets G.E.C.K for you. You get dogmeat at the scrapyard just south of minefield (he is fighting off raiders, you have to kill the raiders to get him though).

I went to do vault 87 to get the G.E.C.K. ....So i was captured by the enclave...but Jericho isn't with me I've checked in megaton and all around vault 87 and he wasn't inside where i was captured....Can anyone help?!?!?!

lol my friend did the same thing, but he made each person "unique" he gave Jericho Outcast armor since hes an loner, he gave Paladin cross a Brotherhood helmet, Charon was badass so my friend gave him T-51b, finally he gave Clover Winter T-51b, he just spends his time walking around the wasteland and sitting back as his Delta Force kills everything in sight

I gave my followers (Charon Jericho and clover) all Reilys rangers combat armor (killed reily and her rangers) Jerico uses the Eugene Charon uses the burnmaster and i gave clover my A3-21 plasma rifle we are beasts of the wastes

Dude this is epic, i am so going to do that now but i kinda have to make a new character because i blew up megaton (for Jericho), already did the big town quest so thats 3 companions gone, Charon died cus i decided to be a badass and killed everyone in the underworld, i killed everyone at paradise falls, and that sums up all 6 of those companions so yea gotta make a new person lol. xD

companions will use any weapons you give them, so long as you give them the proper ammo for it, AND the weapon has to do more damage than their main weapons.. hope that helped =)

I was just thinking about this. This would be a great asset to my newest character, the Tough Salesman. He wouldn't have any combat skills, or secondary skill, like sneak, until the last five levels. He'd be relying on assistance to get by, that and general cowardice. Like running, jumping and hiding behind rocks, and of course fast traveling. :P.

i figured out how to get all the companions you want for pc

get jehrico

then go to paradise falls and fire jehrico then buy clover then rehire jehrico and talk to clover

get dogmeat and kill him

get charon then go to console type "prid 0006a775" then "resurrect" then "moveto player" then "resetquest 943ed" then you can get dogmeat alive and back on your squad if you have any questions ask on my channel

like you get all the companions you have here, go to tinker joe, fire one of ur companions (since it technically opens one companion space) and buy RL from joe, rehire the fired companion and talk to RL for the first time, wouldn't that work?

cuz if you have all those other guys, keeping RL-3 alive shouldn't be to hard.
