  • Great video. You're set-up is awesome

  • Appreciate the video b. I was gonna get 1000 back in the day, but heard a lot of bad things about it. Glad to see the 1100 is a lot better.

  • You get the ps3 adaptuh! Lol

  • nice set up.. do you have to plug in ir blasters to each device or do you just put the rf reciver in there and it works ? and is it responsive? Ive read that its slow when turning channels....when are you going to put some controled lighting in

  • Brolicbeast

What kind of rack is that?

Looks like a tv stand I have except that's a rack did you build that or purchase?

    Thanks

  • I am going to get it does it work in bose system? and where do you plug the ps3 adapter

  • how is da ps3 connected if ders no wire by your tv .____.

  • Hi. Gr8 video. What's the response time for the remote. I heard that usinf RF is much slower than IR? Is that true?

Also, how does the RF receiver 'spit' out the RF signal to your satellite box, PS3 etc?

Surely it sends an IR signal to it? If so, does the receiver have to be in line of sight of the equipment? If so, how did the 1100 control your TV!?

Sorry for all the questions! Some further detail would be welcomed! Thanks

  • @josa98112 Hi, I have a similar setup so to answer your questions: I don't notice any delay with the rf vs the ir, the only delay I have results when the pc in my system has to relay commands to my sat. receiver. The rf receiver has a central ir transmitter as well as jacks for 4 ir-blaster lines, each with two small emitters that can be placed on the ir receivers of devices to control them directly. You can have all relay the same signal or specific blaster lines control specific devices.

  • @josa98112 ...continued...As for BrolicBeast's Tv not being in line of site of the Rf extender, you can specify whether to have the Harmony control a device directly without relaying the signal to the Rf extender, so that the Tv need only be in line of site of the actual remote. Big thanks to BrolicBeast for the very helpful video btw.

  • @alanthacker2000 Hi there. Thanks for your comments. Really helpful. I also have one about the RF receiver itself. I read that you have to diconnect and reconnect, unlug and plugin the receiver each time you alter somethings on the 1100 remote. Is this true? Could you go into some more detail on this? Thanks.

  • @josa98112 Yes, that's true (and annoying). Suggestions for minimizing the inconvenience of this: If at all possible, mount the RF extender somewhere accessible to minimize hassle; if you have a laptop or netbook with the software, you can take the computer to the extender instead of unhooking everything. Also, make assigning devices to the RF extender the very last step in setting up. Once all is perfect, you'll need only a one time hookup to the RFE instead of after every tweak.

  • Nevermind about my previous comment, the d pad is on the harmony remote.

  • Okay at the end of your video, you showed the ps3 buttons on the remote screen. You use the button to select and exit. How about the d-pad buttons to scroll the XMB menu on the Ps3?

  • you sound like batman XD

  • yo whats good man. I wanted to know if you are having problems with vertical lines in your aquos.

  • you sound like xibit XD funny

  • such a good idea. break into someone's house and give how to demos for all their electronics.

  • my dude i got to get me this remote i need it so bad u dont know the pain i go thro tring to find my remote for my ps3 then for my onkyo receiver then to my xbox 360 then to the cabile box then to watch a blu ray on the ps3 omg sooooo much shit i got my dude i need to get one no matter how much money it is i seen it for 300 bucks on amizion not that bad it was like 6000 vucks when i first seen it came out.

  • did that all cost you a lot of money?

  • Looks pretty shit to be honest, paying extra just to get ps3 compatibility. I'm pretty sure thats what the button on the middle of the ps3 controller is for.

  • Peace. I just checked this remote out today on the web. I read a lot of bad reviews on it. How is it for you? Whats your pros and cons(if any)?

  • Is the RF receiver hooked up to the A/V receiver or does it need to be hooked to each individual device?

  • damn that Matrix Blu Ray quality is very good! im buying that movie on Blu!

  • You sold me! I'm going to have to buy this for myself for Christmas. Thanks for the great review.

  • Sweet... Love your set up! I was hoping someone had a quick video on how it worked. You get so much more from real people in real world situations setting up the products. Thanks for posting.

  • Hey, no problem. Glad to be of some help...it really is a great product!

  • can you loan me 6 bills so i can pick one up :)

  • @BrolicBeast how much did i cost for u

  • wow! i love that remote, how much does it go for?

  • Hey MissQueen, the remote goes for 499....but if you shop around, you can get it for closer to 450 or so. There is also it's cheaper cousin, the Harmony 890 that's not touch screen that works very similarly. I'm actually getting ready to upload a video with that Remote at some point tonight.

  • @MissQueenLatina you can get the remote on amazon for around $240

  • cool set up. i have the Harmony One with the PS3 adapter, works perfect for me too. what size is your TV?

  • Yeah, it feels good to FINALLY be able to control the PS3 with the Harmony doesn't it? I have the Harmony One in my guestroom, and that's an excellent remote!!!1 (i just WISH it had RF capability) The TV size is 52"
