Be aware that Sprint NO LONGER offers unlimited 4G with any of their hotspots or usb devices. Dan Hesse says 'PHONES' not these types of devices when you see him on television saying Sprint has unlimited data.
"4G with over 10Mbit/s"?... My 3G modem gets 14-16Mbit/s!
A 4G connection would be at least faster then 3G and at least 35 Mbit/s (IMO)... else it's a failure.. (In sweden got the 4G modem a speed over 40Mbit/s )
And you compare a slow 4G with a broadband-connection that's like 8 years old!. For 4-5 years ago I got 100Mbit/s (in speed-test Im getting around 96-98Mbit/s) and I can upgrade my contract to 1000Mbit/s if I want...
The biggest reason I haven't made the switch to mobile broadband is the 5GB/month limit on 3G. I know Sprint's 4G is unlimited but the 4G coverage is very small and I reguarly venture outside of 4G coverage and would end up with massive bills based on my usage. I just can't do that. If Sprint offered a plan with unlimited 4G and unlimited 3G usage, I'd sign up today.
The Overdrive most certainly works with Windows 7. In fact, any WiFi enabled device can connect to Sprint's 3G or 4G network via Overdrive Mobile Hotspot.
I know it works with windows 7 the u 300 does work with windows 7 all that being said I find my overdrive to be VERY spotty..have replaced it twice and both times the sales person told me that they get a lot of people that return them for that reason. I'm stuck with mine and all i can hope for is the service gets better. It switches back and forth without me knowing from 4g to 3g and i have to reboot it a lot and before u say i'm not in a 4g area I'm right in the middle of the 4g map in Phila.
The current Wimax 4G is based on the IEEE 802.16e standard, however by the time LTE is introduced as an alternative 4G platform Wimax II (IEEE 802.16m) will be available with a simple software upgrade, enabling Broadband speeds betweenn 300 Mbs to 1 Gbs. Yes I am not kidding. In case you do not believe this I suggest you Google 'Wimax 802.16m.' Nevertheless Sprint's 4G is here, in 33 markets, and is slated to be launched in another 50 markets in 2010. This should cover over 120 million users
Sprint's Wimax 4G is a first step, its second step will be Wimax II, which will kill LTE when doing a speed comparison. Sprint's Wimax is also an open system that can be used by everyone and that is why Intel, Google, Time Warner and Comcast have all invested in the Clearwire Wimax venture, with Sprint owning 57% as of November 2009.
WiMAX has nothing on LTE.

@EllisPerkins93 LTE is 4G, Sprint's WiMax isn't. AT&T is already seeing speeds faster than Sprint's crap.
