  • Wow thank you so much for making this, it really made my muscles everywhere feel released instead of being tensed up

    It even made me feel better about myself and what I am wanting to do. I'm just a 12 year old but I'd like to loosen my muscles because they are again, feeling tensed up. Id also like to drop about 15 pounds and I think this is great.

    Once again this made me feel relaxed, thanks (:

  • I've never heard of 30 min stretch before.

    I stretch about 5-10 min a day and you really don't need more then that if you wanna do the splits.

Who is talking about splits right now? Yoga lasts for more than an hour. Are you saying u've never heard of yoga? Are you saying people don't need yoga?

  • Well i've never done yoga before but i do know what i'm talkin about. I'm a Taido practioner so I do know what it means to stretch out the legs and arms. And it's also stupid to stretch for an hour. An hour of stretching is the same as 10-15 min. You wont achieve anything with it except that you might hur yourself.

    Ohh and are you jelous that i know how to do splits??

  • @Cob, well if you're a Taido practitioner you FAIL from step one where you began to talk about something which you knew nothing about. If you don't know about the benefits of stretching PLEASE do your own research before just jabbering off at the jaws. This is not just about ... okay yu know what, forget it, its not worth my time. Do research.... or not. If you wanna stay ignorant thats on you. Peace

  • I do know the benefits of stretching. I've helped alot of people with flexibilty training so i know exactly what i'm talkin about. I'm not being ignorant and besides, you're doing many of the stretches wrong and your supposed to be a yoga practioner. I can give you some good sites on how to stretch since you clearly don't know what you're doing. Peace

  • @Cobretti. C there u go talking abt flexibility training again. This is more about alignment and blood circulation. You keep right on ahead splitting your crotch. We are just fine without your suggestions. Besides, WHO on earth would ever listen to a hostile practitioner of a peaceful art. You show over and over with your cockiness, arrogance and condescension that you're doing something WRONG!

  • I love what you said about stretching before exercising, I try to exercise 4 times a week, But sometimes im so busy cooking that I forget to stretch before I excercise and then my body hurts, So thank you for reminding me to do it!

  • Great idea for a video series & I loved it.

    I do thirty minutes to an hour of cardio alternated with weight training ever other day. I also do a daily secular yoga routine based on Kundalini. Breathing & stretching are key. On my lazy days I still do 10 sets of 10 ab exercises. I need to swim more, even at all, to get the aesthetic results I would like.

  • @sunny, I'm not sure how many I burned but it definitely helped. When I left the house about an hour after that, I had burned 400 cals and Ive kept on burning. Right now I am at 2,000 calories and its only 7pm. Every little bit counts. Im going to do a video about that.

  • Being able to grab the ankles is difficult for some people since they aren't as flexible as others, so I would consider that a bit advanced. Other than that, your work-out is simple and fun to do. =D

  • Tonya my problem is that I know how to loose weight, However, I HATE exersice!!!! I just don't like it...I have heard many professionals state(even the trainers on the Biggest Lossers) that weight loss is 95% of what you eat!!! I started eating a All Vegetable and sometimes Fruit diet and Tonya I FEEL GREAT and the weight is pouring off. Why do I need exercise? I know I need to tone a little but I NEED SOMEONE TO HELP ME GET MOTIVATED WITH EXERCISE, BECAUSE I AM TRYING!!

  • I think in the beginning the weight will pour off by changing your eating habits. Eating is a big part of what you eat, but more like 65-80%. But you will hit a plateau after awhile. The point for weight loss is you have to burn more calories than you take in! Moving around helps accelerate weight loss. And you need to build muscle and flexibility to help protect your skeletal structure. Especially in your core!

  • Thanks feist, Losing weight is easy, all you have to do is sit around and let your muscle waste away and you can lose weight from muscle loss. Or dehydrate yourself and lose water weight. Getting fit takes effort which needs the combination of several activities including nutrition, exercise, stretching strength training etc in the workbook I am creating it makes fitness more attainable bcz we can see all of the aspects and chart and manage them.

  • You need to do a combination of different things to get FIT! Rememebr this is NOT about losing weight. Its about getting and being healthy and in order to be healthy you MUST exercise that heart. Dont worry I HATE aerobics but all you have to do is something ten times b4 it starts to become a habit. Start slow. Try these stretches. Do something ok momma, you have it in you.   • If you just diet alone you'll lose weight but you won't repair any damage you incur from your overweight self. Meaning you won't increase the strength of your heart which has been working overtime, you won't increase lung capacity which has shrunk due to all the pressure on it and it can go on. Plus either sex you are muscle is just sexy.

  • OK I understand. I do need to repair my body and it is true, I don't want flab!! I will try my best cause it is so hard, I will just do what you say Tonya and take it slow!

  • my best suggestion would be to bust out your ipod or mp3 player and put together a really great mix. music really helps me get through my workout. if i have the right tunes i can go for hours. give it a try and i think you'll be surprised at how music will get you going
