  • Ab exercise only sculpt your abs, it does not burn fat.  The best way is to do cardio and lose the fat and then do ab exercise like crunches to shape them.

  • I still can't believe how ignorant most people are. Ab exercises strengthen your core and are necessary to perform lifts such as the deadlift, clean, and squat, but you don't need to do ANY ab work if you're one of the countless pathetic guys or gals that don't do ACTUAL weight training and still want visible abs. Visible abs come from DIET ALONE. NOTHING ELSE. Meaning you have to reduce your body fat percentage. Unless you learn correct nutritional habits you'll never have abs.

I, personally do some abs exercises every time I get back from work, on every night of the week; and in about 2 weeks to 1 month I've seen a difference, so... it all depends how your body responds, what you eat, and how frequent you do the exercises... it's all up to u actually, man...   • This is more of a hip workout, abs are just supporting muscles for it. Although it does help a bit. But you end up with the large triangle muscle around your groin.

    Also you can do this as many times as you want, if your body fat is about about 17% you will never see your abs at all.

    So to summarise that was a prittey useless vid.

  • obviously youve got to be fit before u can get toned abs.... and this exercise does also train central and upper abs. you just have to vary how youre doing it. it can also train external obliques, again slighty change your motion.

That shit was lame...that may not be a sit-up but its still an abdominal exercise.....particularly for the lower abs....anyway if anyone actually does this your better off losing the book and actually extending 90 degrees and slowly lowering back to the hover of 30inches. DO that about 50 times (if you can). Trust you'll feel the pain.

You may have strong muscles under the fat, but the reps, won't burn the fat by itself (sorry for the english).You need to do different things to burn your fat- you need to do CARDIO TRAINING and some diet.Cardio is the exesersises like running, busicle, everithing that makes you to breed faster and stimulate the heart to PUMP.RUN NOW!

  • totally agree with you. I see too many people trying to get those perfect abs by doing thousands of sit-ups but never getting it. You can't choose which part of fat from your body to loose by exercising which ever muscle group, you're body decides that on its own (genetics, various from person to person or gender to gender. I Agree with you, eating clean and healthy and doing combinations of cardio plus weight training will do the trick!
