It should show that. If not, then there must be a problem. Try to update the firmware and the maps. The firmware is free from MagellanGPS website. Try to do a warm reset by pressing the reset button or call magellangps customer service. I recently updated the maps for my Maestro 3250. I copied the SD card I received for my 3250 and put it in my 3225 and it worked fine too.

Yes, it does have Spanish. It has 3 languages: English, French and Spanish as it is designed for the US, Canada and Puerto Rico.
