This is actually a very good Bankai, but Tosen just isn't using it the right way. Plus I think Kenpachi has the greatest disadvantage against it, since he can't use Shikai, Bankai, shunpo or any wide ranged kido to make Tosen keep his distance. If he wasn't smart enough to think of his grab tactic he would've been dead.

Pretty cool fight, but there are 2 things I don't get.

1. How did Kenpachi know that he can regain his senses by touching Tosen's sword? No way could he have heard Tosen when he explained that, and this is the first time Kenny's experienced Tosen's bankai.

2. When Kenny's smiling, how is it Tosen knows when he's doing it? He's blind.

Tousen may have lost this one, but he deff. was not trying his "hardest". After he is hollowed by aizen, he could beat kenpachi easily, with the hollow mask, kenpachi would'nt stand a chance. There's a reason Tousen is a COMMANDER in Aizens army. he is stronger than the espada. So if kenpachi had to resort to kendo to kill the FIFTH espada, he wouldn't stand a chance. Just think about it.

If so you would see the part were it explained that when Zaraki felt the sword come into contact with his cloths he was able to make a slight adjustment and dodge the sword. At 4:20 you can clearly see Tousen breathing hard and wondering how Zaraki could keep dodging his attacks. Watch the episode before you talk.

Anyway, this fight is bullshit -.-. It was obviously meant for Zaraki to win. And chain of hatred from Bleach fans toward Tousen is spreading here. He is such an underestimated character.

For me Aizen, Gin and Tousen are most intriguing characters.

Why am I right about the lightning? Yes, lightning is my favorite element, even though it's not a classical element. In case you didn't watch the latest Bleach filler last week, Ukitake's Sōgyo no Kotowari blast out a lightning bolt toward Ukitake ^_^

Zaraki's would be more of an explosive type Zan. For example, the Flame Alchemist. Create explosions in space and time, the ether, etc. The Zan. reflects the a Soul Reaper's personality and nature. Zaraki's is explosive. A super version of Ulquiorra? Without the speed?

In the manga during the flashback it shows Tousen as a captain or at least wearing a captains outfit when seeing Kenpachi become captain, but the pendulum arc suggests that kenpachi became captain when tousen was a seated officer. Can anyone explain this problem to me, or maybe I have the timeline wrong and someone could clarify.
