I like ricky, i think hes a good boxer and probably still one of the best at 140lbs. With that said he cant do much vs the best fighters in thw world, his style makes so he cant. yeah but the point is, hatton enlisted floyd snr, to help develope his style and a big part of it was his defense, even if u watch the fight u will see hatton has his hands down near his chest.. end of first round floyd says "move ur head , side to side, keep ur hands up" which he did try a bit and do but , his defense has always been weak, if he had fought the same way he did aggressively but had kept a high guard instead of keeping his hands near his chest (like cotto) would have lasted longer

I like ricky, i think hes a good boxer and probably still one of the best at 140lbs. With that said he cant do much vs the best fighters in thw world, his style makes so he cant. He not big enough to hit for power but hes a big guy and he doesnt have the hand speed to be a more technical fighter. He has that in between game which isnt the best for boxing. I do agree he jumped at manny too fast and was looking eager to relcaim some renown after the loss to floyd but the outcome would be the same.

Here is the thing though, manny catches everyone. Ricky was really agressive and thats probably the worst thing you can do worst manny. You look at the clottey fight, after the first 3rounds he just kept his hands up to survive. You go back to the fights with manny and morales, theres no defense against manny. He drinks, he smokes (yea smokes at times), he eats the wrong food, he does his own thing and always has done. Who reading this doesn't do some of those things? And still he had a great career winning championships, beating champs, biggest following of a fighter ever and gave me some of the best fight nights ever. He had his blood drawn within days coming into a fight once. He lost. He mentions that his punches had no "pop" and wasn't properly focused. If it's not too much to ask, could Mayweather not propose a blood drawing 14 days within the fight?

Why else did Mayweather propose the idea of having random blood test? Because that is the only way to beat Pacman.

Roach mentioned it takes 6 days for Pac to properly recover, and that's through the training up into the fight.... soooo, i don't know anything about the "14 Day cut" you have said.

Pac just wants to be fair, and he wants to give it his all.

Overtrained (peaked early) my ass. Another lame excuse. Even if this is true, it didn't play any factor in his fight with Pacquiao. To be fair, the truth is simply that he was WIDE OPEN, no defense whatsoever. Watch the whole 2 rounds again and be honest.
