I was on a legit script of pharma-heroin(oxy 30's 3X a day) and percocettes for the last 10 years. I straightened my fucking back bone amd threw out all my meds.. I went into hardcore withdrawals, jumped on a greyhound bus and went 200 miles to detox in Albany, ny. It was hard, it's still hard. I will overcome. Thanks AGAIN PHIL ANSELMO!!!

Slash and his friend were in a hotel and these guys asked them if they wanted some dope and slash was Leary of the dudes cause they were just awkward and they shot up but slash didnt do as much or something and his friend started overdosing so slash threw him in the bath tub and called 911 but if I remember right the guy died anyway. This is in his book I read it. Another heroin addict. Gotta say Nikki sixx was probly the worst

Methadone is NO JOKE. Highly physically addictive. I know first hand. It was created in Nazi Germany because of the shortages of morphine. Never take this shit unless you are actually in PAIN. And even then, beware. I weaned off it super gradually over a period of a couple months. Bad body aches that make you keep twisting and turning. Brutal. Once I realized what it was really about, it already had it's claws in me. Don't let it happen to you.

@migraine516 is that the tab you put under your tongue? its really expensive but its easier to get off than the methadone i heard. in canada its like 20$ a day where meth is like 6-7$ a day. im on meth but i have a health plan that covers my drinks for me when i pay a small fee per year. got all my carries too!

@maziku i dont know how long u have been on methadone but wait till u get a lot lower before deciding it's so easy to get off of. i have been on about 14 years (although at 1st it was only supposed 2 b 6 months, yeah right!). i dose in New Orleans & have gotten down to 15 several times and then jumped off. went back to dope and then the clinic. maybe it's the routine of going or something for me, i dont know. my clinic did get flooded by Katrina..talk about panic!
@mindydee113 ive been on for about 13 or 14 months. the highest does ive been at was 80mg but now i come down 3mg every week. im at 55mg right now. if you try to kick at 15mg you will be fucked. once you get down to 15 or so, start dropping 1 or 2 mg max per week. the idea is to taper yourself down so you dont even notice a difference. but being on the drink for 14 years, your body needs it more than mine does.

I met Phil at a SJ show once cause my editor and I had to interview him. My editor asked pretty much all the questions and Phil was an asshole. Now that I've seen this I know why. I have a lot more respect for the guy now....he's a rarity amongst rock stars nowadays.

@mindydee113 ive been on for about 13 or 14 months. the highest does ive been at was 80mg but now i come down 3mg every week. im at 55mg right now. if you try to kick at 15mg you will be fucked. once you get down to 15 or so, start dropping 1 or 2 mg max per week. the idea is to taper yourself down so you dont even notice a difference. but being on the drink for 14 years, your body needs it more than mine does.

@maziku u r right. i should have never jumped off at 15. i've done that about 3 or 4 times & failed each time. i should have just continued the taper, like u said. now i have just resigned myself to staying on it, at least for now. i don't mind being on it, i just don't like paying the $80 a week. i guess that's much cheaper than a dope habit, eh?!!!! good luck 2 u in your quest. don't get stuck on this shit for 14 years like i did. u sound like u have the mindset 2 do it. :)

@mindydee113 thanks! $80 a week is a lot of money for something that makes you feel normal for sure. is there any healthcare plans that will help pay for your drink? in canada we have a different healthcare system but i have a plan for people who make little money or no money that makes meds so much cheaper. you should ask at the clinic if theres some type of assistance to make things cheaper. best of luck my friend! if you want off, you can do it. just want it.

I met Phil at a SJ show once cause my editor and I had to interview him. My editor asked pretty much all the questions and Phil was an asshole. Now that I've seen this I know why. I have a lot more respect for the guy now....he's a rarity amongst rock stars nowadays.
