  • How many men went to their deaths for absolutely nothing, zilch, nada. I cannot call them "heroes" am afraid, they were cannon fodder.

Interesting, I always find, is the soundtrack added to the old films.... (e.g. 6:24)... There was nio sound back then, so the stuff sonds a little Hollywood-like.

  • Vimy Ridge was the bravest moment in history. So many men knowing and expecting to die,but still pushing forward under the most horrifying of circumstances.

  • thank you for that hist movie i am from 1 royal canadian horse artillery loc in shilo i am in that movie........thank you so much, les we forget!!

  • Interesting stuff. Also watched the battle of Vimy Ridge documentary. Seems that the Canadians knew their stuff and were able to operate outside the restrictions apparent with in the British army. Perhaps this is because of the English class structure where rich ex public school boy officers sent many a poor soul to their deaths without having a clue about tactics or really understanding what was required. Shame we didn't have Currie and a few Canadian divisions present before the Somme.

  • Im a proud American with Canadian family ties. God I love Canada.

  • Thank's a lot fore the histrik video

    5+*ofcourse
