I remember creeping through Phazon Mines as a kid. I was always scared that I'd get ambushed by Space Pirates, and I'd end up dieing and having to reload my save. So I just explored Phendrana Drifts instead, lol. Gotta admit, playing with the Wii controls took a bit of the tension out of this area.

I like Prime 2 (I still like prime 1, though) better, but this place is probably kind of scarier than even Dark Aether. At least there, you can heal in the air bubbles. With Phazon Mines...good luck! Have fun with dealing with the colored trooper douchbags! Omega Pirate is also waiting to crush you like silly puddy.

@JBielinski1 It's ok man. I've beaten the game a few times and the Mines still make me jumpy even though I have them practically memorized. Turnign down/off the music might help a little. Also, once you start backtracking through other areas and return to the Mines, it's not so bad since you'lll have picked up some health and ammo upgrades.

@DaLetsPlayGuy I dont know, it was just scary. When entering the little tunnel into the big room where the first pirates resided this music kicks in. And before taking grip of my self I tried to stay hidden and scan the area and its enemies before I went out. However, when I jumped in while shootin and blazin I could melt the scary part of it. It was the first ocassion when entering the phazon mines but yes. I trembled an hour after the entrance anyway. Now its great though!

Yeah, it is just the feeling of being deep in a dark facility where you need to use so many visors and Space Pirates are just waiting to pounce on you from the ceiling. It's also like a maze, it's extremely deep and extremely large... You really need to have a lot of health and missiles there...

I remember when I was scared of the Mecha Hive for no reason, must have been my instinct of DONT FUCKING DIE, which I had so badly as a kid.

Was never creeped out after I got through the Chozo Ruins so just weird paranoia of poison water.

@tehmackness I liked Echoes, but the issue I had with it was the Dark World. I think that it fits well and is challenging, I just hate the Dark World with the fact that you now have an ammo limit against those Ing bastards, my one biggest gripe with it.
