couldn't have anything to do with the fact that they are POORer and/or can't see the point of buying a box of plastic wrap when there's perfectly good free plastic that can be used for making tortilla's on a daily basis.....

I use a large ziplock bag. It is easier to work with. My press that I got in Mexico is cast iron. I have 2. One is larger then the other. I even use it for making flat bread.
Nancy, I also have a "press" that I picked up a few years ago in mexico! but never knew HOW to use it right! everything stuck to it etc... I'm not a very good cook :( however, I may try this, because I really like corn tortillas! living here we get the "BEST"Mexican food EVER! and it comes in handy having Mexican Friends...hehehhe
