Don't think the 4Kids dub sucks just because it's 4Kids. I saw at least 20 episodes of the dub, and I can tell you from experience... that the Japanese version is better. It's less corny and has better quality script-wise. The only thing 4kids got right was voice acting, but just barely (Maddie "Meowth" Blaustein as Chef Kawasaki; Veronica "Ash Ketchum" Taylor as Lololo and Lalala)

@TeamRocketRockin While I do think that the dubbing is REALLY cheesy (it's to be expected from 4kids I guess), I think that it's a mixed bag at times. There are good voices like Escargon, OK voices like Meta Knight and bad voices like Dedede. It's better than the One Piece dubbing though. About 4/6ths of it were... yuck.

Personally I don't have a problem with Fumu. She's bright, persistent, and willing to stand up to Dedede. I like Dedede's and Escargon's sense of humor, too, but you've got to give anybody who stands up to a dictator some credit. Besides, since Kirby can't speak, he needs another character to give him some voice.

And if I were Fumu, I'd do the same thing! Think about it! All the action! Excitement! All for the name of saving everyone else's asses! That sounds way better than normal life

The thing my sisters (and most English viewers) fail to realize is WHY I love Hoshi no Kaabii. In the original, it's a lighthearted, funny cartoon with a little bit of action. Most English views don't see this wonderful show because the English dub replaces the good voice actors with poor actors, the original music (which eventually made it to Air Ride) with stock music, and the clever parodies and humor with lame puns. Hoshi no Kaabii full of charm and good characters. HNK 4ever!

It's just my opinion. I'll agree that the English version is ridiculous, but I see more of the light. I mean, it can get dark at times, but it's no Evangelion. Comparing HNK to Evangelion is like comparing Kingdom Hearts to a rated M video game. Yeah, sure, Kingdom Hearts is pretty darn dark for Disney, but it's not like a gore-induced 1st person rated M shooter or anything.

I just post videos to spread the love of HNK. Or my hate of 4kids. Either works.
