There are a lot of differences between Super Street Fighter 2 turbo and the 3DO version. The sound effect are definitely different and so is the music. There also more technical reasons, but you need to be more of a barcode SF2 player to grasp it.
Also the Genesis and SNES never received versions of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo. The SNES and Genesis versions are silly Super Street Fighter 2. There are major differences between the two games like faster speed, more colors for the characters
3do is awesome, i had such a blast getting drunk and playing way of the warrior, the soundtrack helped, nothing like good old ass kickin and white zombie

I still bring friends over to play Way of the Warrior on our drunken gaming nights (and of course, Return fire) If we start to get cocky, the night turns into a "who can get the furthest on Dragons lair on one life" night.... 360 is collecting dust
I just bought a 3do more or less for the soul reason of samurai showdown. Its too bad more fighters. After seeing how well it took SS1, I feel it could of done justice to some of the other capcom and snk fighters.
I find it hilarious that a corporation believes that its rights are being infringed upon when you're using the original soundtrack that CAME WITH THE GAME. Goofy bastards.
It is a matter of taste, they're both very good mind you. To be fair I couldn't honestly say one is better than the other. I do believe SSf2 is a deeper game but in a way SS seems more pure.
I think the main reason people prefer samurai shodown to ssf2 is that when samurai shodown came out it felt new. i love them both but they play very differently and have a very different atmosphere.
I guess I'll always think Samurai Shodown is the best fighter on the 3DO... but I think it's just because I prefer the Samurai Shodown series over Street Fighter as a whole much more than anything else... :P

You're definitely a man who loves the Panasonic 3DO. Never even knew anyone that had one. I was more of a Sega CD guy. Cool video though.

SF for 3DO was one of the most badass SF's I've ever played to this day.

So what other Samurai Shodown games have you played besides the original? Which one was your favorite?
