This is the way it is, Kobe is awesome, Lebron is awesome. Kobe has championships, Lebron will have championships. Lebron is so young yet, he is just as good as Kobe was at his age. We can only compare these two at the end of their careers. If you must compare now, you can only compare where Kobe was at where Lebron is now. Kobe may have had a championship or two by now, but believe me, Lebron's are coming soon. Both are great players and good people. Love watching these two play period.

@the1sin hey i know this isnt my argument, but if you watch that shot you talked about, watch lebron's reaction when it went in, it was surprise...he shot it up and it went in, but to be very honest, lerbron isnt making those shots consistently, he hasn't made enough clutch/pressure shots in his career. yes that shot was awesome, but honestly he was surprised by it. other clutch shooters, MJ, Kobe, ray allen etc, they all sink that shot on a consistent basis. lebron isnt there yet.

Well obviously a 25-yr old Lebron in his prime is SUPPOSED to be better than a 32-yr old Kobe. What's amazing is that Kobe was considered amongst the best players in the early 2000s along with Shaq, Duncan, McGrady, Iverson, etc. All those players have fallen off now, almost a decade later. ONLY Kobe is still competing with the best players and is at worst a top 3 player in the league right now. When it's all said and done...Kobe will go down in history as a bigger legend than Lebron.

Player awards mean nothing dude. That's like saying all star selections. Lebron is the most well rounded in league history and that includes Oscar Robertson and Magic. Jordan isn't worthy to hold his nuts if we go by stats. Lebron is 25, Jordan won his first title at 27 years old? It's not like Lebron is behind or anything. Kobe rode the bench and when he did get to play, he often had to restrain his natural impulses becuz Shaq was the centerpiece. Cavaliers & Bulls had nuthin until both of the 23s arrived. Im not so sure it is a question of ability with Kobe, as it is he had to develop under a different situation.

They're not even friends off the court--they never call each other. And as you can see by their body language and responses here, a lot of it is them BSing to sound impressive to the interviewer/audience. Just look how far away they're seated from each other--they aren't bros like LeBron & Melo are.

lebron doesnt have as nice a shot as kobe, but still has a much higher shooting pct, so scoring wise, kobe cant fuck wit bron. kobe models his game aroun jordan, while lebron does his own thing and you can tell when you watch the two. predraft, ppl were talking bout kobe being the next grant hill, wil predraft ppl were talkin bout lebron bein the nex jordan. on top of that, all the records kobe set for "youngest" so en so, lebron has shattered.

Kobe had to sit behind 2 good players when he came into the league is why he didn't set a higher record than he did. Lebron came in and was able to start right away cause the Cavs had no one. Lebron is a beast tho. Be nice to see him average a trible double for a season.

@xGarrloveesJB look at the different times. rookies are now coming in at the age of 18 or 19 and are already superstar players. things have changed. so it'S quite clear that those "youngest to reach" records are borken. also kobe wasn't given the great body. but his work ethic got him to where he is now and he deserves a lot of respect for that.
for now let's just be glad to be able to watch 2 of the best players to ever play this game

- About kobe being compared with grant hill is bullshit, he was compared with MJ since people saw him play for the first time, so has lebron.

@xGarrloveesJB - The only reason Lebron has broken kobe's records for first player ever to... is that kobe was a rookie for the lakers, who are notorious not to play rookies. Besides, kobe is the youngest player ever to have entered the league after Bynum and the youngest to have started a game. lebron isn't, don't underestimate that.
