  • I`m starting from the beginning again James. I love history, old buildings and all things from times past. Leicester Cathedral is so beautiful. What I love most about these videos is the way you shoot them. Your eye for detail is superb as is your camera work. That`s why it`s such a pleasure to watch... because of your thoughtful production. Thanks for sharing with us.

  • yay i sing in leciester cath choir and im dep head but there are still some things i havent seen and ive been there 2 years

  • I also notice that it looks like the walls have been plastered and painted white. I believe that the original stone was visible back then.

I spent many times, for different occasions, singing in the Cathedral Choir. I also used to love visiting the Cells within the Guildhall.....turning the light on to be "frightened" by the wax model sitting opposite. And of course, I spent 7 years of my young life at the school next door. I would never of thought that I'd end up living in the USA back then.

  • This is so cool for me, because I now live in America, but I did sing in the Leicester Cathedral Choir when I attended the school next door - "Alderman Newton's Boys Grammar School". The organist at the time was our school music teacher - Peter White.

It's sad to see that the integrity of the Cathedral has been ruined by replacing the original Pews, that were there when I was a boy, with the moden chairs.

  • Wonderful video Mr Hutton...the gibbet gives me

shivers though..glad they've done away with gibbeting LOL

can you imagine driving around and seeing people strung up?!!

your Cathedral looks a bit like our one here in Romsey...you and

Shelley both would love it. Apple loops....yay!! Love what you've

done with the soundtrak...i need to spend so much more time

learning my way around...love Logic and my Mac!!!!

  • @connordaniel23 Thank you Connor. Apple loops are quite useful for this sort of thing, as well as for making simple backing soundtracks. If you go to my website, there's a page showing the synth plugin's I use for my recordings in Logic. See you later. james:)

  • James this is so cool ! Loved the cathedral and the Guildhall--- I loved the old buildings and the streets--- the Jail !! Very enjoyable ! loved it !

  • @NewOrleansWoman Thanks Shelley. I often sit on a bench at this cathedral after visiting town. Them 'prisoners' in the cells have been there since I was a kid. They still scare me. james x
