Crossing over established events, personal time lines and 're-writing history' have always been taboo, as stated by Doctor's 9 and 10. I think the 11th Doctor and companions and River Song are living in an ALTERNATE Universe than 9 &10. Why else would there be NO STARS at night, plus other inconsistencies!

What I was trying to say, if they had gone out when River Song was thrown into the sun with the TARDIS, then, wouldn't they have been out all through history since that happened? Or did he not actually tell her, and she found out some other way? And is she the one who kills the Doctor in the Impossible Astronaut? If not, who did she kill? Rory?

We now now know that River is amy's daughter, but the doctor said in season 3 at the beginning of the episode a after Utopia that a Time Lord always knows another time lord just by looking at each other, so I always knew she wasn't a time lord
She's part Time Lord, which is maybe why Madam Kovarian took Amy in the last stage of her pregnancy to dampen/cloak the nature of River.
How that happened or how Kovarian came upon a technique to hide the nature of a Time Lord or Lady I leave to Moffat and Co. to explain in the next episodes or Season 7.
Could Madam Kovarian be a Time Lady who survived the Time War? Who knows?

@TheUKmenace I agree with you. It seems like a major betrayal to Amy and Rory - even if they love and respect The Doctor. But, if she is indeed 'part Time Lord', wouldn't she be the one who killed him in 1969? Remember the 'child who broke out of the spacesuit? Something is very odd about that. Plus, River Song shot at that 'creature' the one who killed The Doctor while regenerating. This is seeming to me like Stephen Moffat is 'making it up as it goes along... sort of like Star Wars.
@kiwiplug yeh its definately a wierd one, there was a special though where tennant and an earlier doctor colide there tardises and tennant knew instantly how to fix it because he had seen himself do it in the future when he was the earlier doctor if that makes sense? maybe this is another one of those paradox moments like with the master and the toklefane, only the people who were closest to the tardis i.e on the flying aircraft carrier (forgot the name) remembered what had happened, maybe.....

Moffat actually was hoping people would guess it in advance, he said in one of the interviews that he would like it if people actually figured it out before it was revealed. She's part Time Lord, which is maybe why Madam Kovarian took Amy in the last stage of her pregnancy to dampen/cloak the nature of River.
How that happened or how Kovarian came upon a technique to hide the nature of a Time Lord or Lady I leave to Moffat and Co. to explain in the next episodes or Season 7.
Could Madam Kovarian be a Time Lady who survived the Time War? Who knows?

@canadianleprechaun13 I have a theory on why she knows his name. He taught her gallifreyan (is that spelt right...) and she read the name from his cot (which we learnt was his). I don't know about who she killed (the Doctor seems a bit too obvious) however her time in stark hill could be because she refused to be a weapon (stark hill has a link to the clerics (the army of religous nuts who wanted to kill the Doctor in the last episode))

@richcampoverde : As there is no real scientific reason for the squicky response we humans have to incest, it isn't beyond the realms of rationality to assume that not all sentient species share our prejudices (animals, for instance, have no qualms about familial shagging). What's more, as Time Lords are essentially sterile and the Doctor is functionally asexual, procreation is not an issue anyway. It might not be a tasteful topic for us humans, but then we are not Time Lords. (lol)

@TheUKmenace I agree with you. It seems like a major betrayal to Amy and Rory - even if they love and respect The Doctor. But, if she is indeed 'part Time Lord', wouldn't she be the one who killed him in 1969? Remember the 'child who broke out of the spacesuit? Something is very odd about that. Plus, River Song shot at that 'creature' the one who killed The Doctor while regenerating. This is seeming to me like Stephen Moffat is 'making it up as it goes along... sort of like Star Wars.

@kiwiplug yeh its definately a wierd one, there was a special though where tennant and an earlier doctor colide there tardises and tennant knew instantly how to fix it because he had seen himself do it in the future when he was the earlier doctor if that makes sense? maybe this is another one of those paradox moments like with the master and the toklefane, only the people who were closest to the tardis i.e on the flying aircraft carrier (forgot the name) remembered what had happened, maybe.....

Moffat actually was hoping people would guess it in advance, he said in one of the interviews that he would like it if people actually figured it out before it was revealed. (possibly as reference to the sherlock homes novels where all the pieces of evidence are weaved throughout the story allowing the reader to discover the truth before its reveal)

River Song, one of my favs of the show, in my opinion is not another time lord, so to speak. I like the idea that because Donna Noble became half timelord,and lost her memory, maybe had a baby further on, and that baby could be River Song. River knew of Donna's name in the library.
