  • TOOOOOOOOOO OLD TO ROCK AND ROLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!

  • 19 people are too old to rock and roll!

  • One of the best Live Bands ever!

  • you're never too old to rock'n'roll

  • they ought'tve done it live over the air, or did they not have the ability back then?

  • 400 400 c'est rigolo.

  • das lied is gut die aufnahme schlecht

  • playback / lip sync? This sounds like the studio version.

  • Ah!Ah! the drumer's sticks!

  • I hope alive and kickin it..from along time fanatic of Ian Anderson and the entire Tull band...old but forever the music will live if I have anything to do with it.....

  • This was the 'crap' Tull album. Never listen to this although it's still better than 90% of the stuff going around at the time. And before anyone starts - Under Wraps is NOT the crap album - it's one of Tull's best. Don't you love self opinion? :-p

  • Tull fan forever!!!

  • fucking awesome

  • j'aime j'ai 16 ans en ce moment dans ma chambre lucarne ciel jurassien étoiles ciel pluie sapin noir odeur d'eau bruit et musique celle-ci

  • Great song and beautiful voice!!!!

  • fantastic one of my favourite tull albums got them all been to all the concerts brilliant live band ian anderson is absolutelybrill .

  • Superb, this song still stirs the emotions after so many years. When it was released I was starting off as a biker. I am still one at 50 years old and can identify with the spirit of the lyrics ever more with each, swiftly, passing year. I am hopefully still too young to die, and not quite too old to rock and roll. Getting there though, dammit!

  • @canopus101

I'm so with you on this- 48 this year but still feel like I'm 16 when I listen to this.

Mind, the words mean a lot more now than they did back then !!!!

Where do the years go ?????

    It's scary !!!

  • @bevinturkey Sadly there seems to be something wrong with years now, they used to last 12 months but now last three. We are closer to Christmas 2011 than that of 2010, surely that was only a matter of weeks ago? Still we can still hear and appreciate the prescient lyrics of Ian Anderson.

  • Too true :-)))

How come I remember all the words to every song on this album but forget what I came upstairs for !!!!!

    XX

  • song used by US army to fight Noriega!

  • Vintage Jethro Tull at their best. I remember watching this TV broadcast at the time and it's a pleasure to see it again after all these years. I wish the whole programme was available on DVD. Sweet dreams...

  • Jethro Tull, The Minstrel Looks Back 1969-1977 2DVD set available at Tommygun Video - please see our youtube channel for link, clips, and more info

  • his songs are so poetic.

  • well a few us hu left, got them in whit ouer motheramilk

  • Brilliant! Looking forward to them visiting Belfast in March - tickets are sorted!

Hope the years haven't zapped out TOO much of Ian's energy! Sexy guy! ;D

  • Typoque : you area right we who grew up in another generation ad has such brilliant artists have a hard time with the crap that they feed us. on radio, telly, and shove down are throats. I

  • the pied piper..... ian....:-)

  • Am I becoming too old to like new musicians, or is it true that this is far better than anything "sold" lately?

  • Absolutely brilliant

  • oh, i've been trying to find this since i saw it in a documentary and i couldn't... it's great, i found it by accident

  • best tull line up of all IMO

  • Long live Ian & Tull... pure genius.

  • God bless this man

  • a true walk down memory lane....we will never hear or witness music like this ever again...the 70's was absolutely the best era....what a classic!!!!

  • I'm new to them and i think i like what i hear

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY "IAN" ON SEPTEMBER 28TH. I GUESS YOUR DAD AND I WERE JUST A LITTLE TOOOOOOOO HIGH WHEN WE NAMED YOU. SORRY, NOT REALLY , IT'S GREAT MUSIC.

  • great song

  • Ian is still number one to rock us rockers

  • ian anderson is a GOD!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this album! What a treat to see the band during this period. I even have a all chrome and black Triumph Bonneville named "Doris".

  • @Dchellberg - I agree, this is a great album, with a slightly more subtle sound to it than most other Tull albums. I particularly enjoy tracks like Pied Piper, Taxi Grab, and Big Dipper.

  • They say he's my dad ... it's fukkkin OK

  • So Def Leppard wasn't the first to use a comic strip theme in a video I see.

  • @TitaniumByFire This was'nt used on a video - videos did'nt exist then. This was on the album cover and bloody fantastic it was too.You should see if you can find an old album and check it out. I still have mine and its 34 years old.

  • Потрясающее звучание!

  • By far the best band ever. Have been a Tull fan since 1970. Listen to a wide raange of music, but always come back to listen to Ian and the lads. Privelidged to see them on both their tours to sunny South Africa. Hope they come back soon.

  • You remember right Katkins...and B Ross posted all the videos...thank you so much for all the posts. Awesome Band, classic videos...where have all the good bands gone?

  • one of my all time favourites : )

  • I remeber them doing this on tv, it was the whole album if I remember correctly, never forgot it in all my 47 years, excellent

  • @TheKatkins Hey, I remember it too. Yes, you are correct they did do the whole album. They did the whole album in sequence and added little dramatic pieces like Ray (Ian) coming in pulling a trailer loaded with washing machines and other stuff to sing Quizz Kid. I, too, have never forgotten it. Fantastic album from a fantastic time.

  • ♫♫♫♫♫top top band,in reverence ive put the rare jethro tull album trumps on ebay...enjoy.♫♫♫♫♫

  • my brother stole this album and hated it, the twit, I from listening grew to love it. He never did had an inkling for music. Dumb headbanger

  • sagizanne, poor him and lucky you. Perish the twit. Let him bang.

  • ke bella sta canzoneee

  • awsome, painted the front cover on the back of my first leather jacket in oils,

drove over 200 miles to pole arts centre in 1991/2 just to see them on the 25 years tour

  • Ian is great!!

  • love Tull grew up dancing to that

  • Just AwesomeNESS! ♫

    Thanks for posting!

  • yes Tull, Leon and, Cocker are on a planet on their own!

  • Remember when I sat and look on this show on swedish television. Maybe was to young just 13 ore 14 but it was an amazing moment! Still got the vinylrecord, with the comic-cover.

  • Had it been possible to award a *** rating this would be the place. Could it have been Sommarmorgon a long time ago?

  • Think it was somwere around childrenprogram...I remember it like a typical depressing swedish afternoon when it's dark outside. Like November. :-)

  • thanks ayrshirenutter.

  • never too old to rock'n'roll, always too young to die

  • This song remember me when I was young ...

And now I be too old to Rock'n'Roll and too young to die.

    Jethro Tull for ever!

  • Comment removed

  • LOVE the Tully...

  • JETHRO TULL simply a great rock band... they'll still alive whereas we keep they music alive! they are masters...

  • i always get a kick outa the keyboardist. cheesing for the cam. queer as a three dollar bill! i think he/she finally got a sex change in her early 60's. solves that mystery. LOL good for her!

  • ..John Evan is a trip for sure...Dave (Dee) Palmer is the one who had the "change" though. No matter, still the best band ever IMO.

  • that's John Evans on the keyboard, you're thinking of David Palmer who is now Dee palmer,he wrote the orchestra bits for tull and was 2nd keyboards on live shows,he isn't in this video.

  • wasn;t a tull fan in the yearly years ,but I grew to enjoy them in depth .saw them in concert in the late 80's ,blew us away .what a great band .

  • simplemente grandioso esta rola es de mis favoritas.

simply great !!! this song is into the very best of my favorites Ian tanks Mexico loves an never old too rock'nroll

  • Tull was making Videos before MTV

  • watching martin and ian do thier thing, is just so dam motivating to me as a guitarist

  • Dayton Hara Arena 1982 Broadsword tour outstanding!

  • one of the best videos ive seen ,to bad no body knows about them.except us! tull always rocks !!!

  • @garytheresa45 No fear, man, there still are some of us around the globe who knows them. Avast! JT always rocks!

  • Ya es musica clásica. Se oirá dentro de algun que otro siglo.

  • diras que se escuchara por muchos siglos mas

  • This is one of my all time favorites of Ian Anderson. Bought the vinyl when it came out. As for Tull, Me: Boston Gardens1973. Anyone else?

  • One of My Favorites, As Well! Great Music will remain Great long after this new-primitivism lapses to it's well deserved place of Relative Obscurity.

Around long enough to tell you about my Triumph 650 Bonneville, with truth the thing leaked oil every night, a few drops, anyway! I did ride it once to 120. Scary!

So yes, I'm Too Old! (at least to say if my perferences be taken into account), and I can tell you about how old one might be RE: Rock'n''Rollin' ! Never too old to ! ! !

  • Believe it was 75, not sure, Bungle in the Jungle tour, Okla. City Again in Denver in 77. Great band, eh?

  • I saw them at Nostell Priory where they did The Broadsword album in the early 80s. Absolutely fucking amazing. Haven't had the privilege of seeing them again. Such a shame.

Thanks for putting up all The Tull songs

  • What fun!

  • J you have just too much talent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great.

  • Man,ahead of his time? The whole band rox, I havent been this delighted since my doctor told me I dont have prostate cancer!

  • holy shit yes theyre like bigger than his entire arm wrist to shoulder

  • i wanna follow the pied piper :)

  • my love neo

  • hey

  • Good God! How on Earth did you find this?? How brilliant!

  • I was in a concert from Jethro Tull in Zwickau (Germany). It was very good. Thank you for your visit in Germany.

    Best wishes

  • We saw them live in Oxford back in 2006, packed and sold out, which summs them up perfectly. Audiance getting older to match.

Been a fan since Heavy Horses came out.

  • Good video, sound quality not up to par

  • Impossible to me to pick a "best" from this band. Have seen them in concert more than anyone else. Is there another chance?

  • jethro tull rocks.....

    this is the best song

and sori jo is good, too....

  • There´s a Martin Barre interview and Saori Jo (Tull support) on siggi 5153.

  • Ian Andersson es Marcos Mundstock a mi no me jodas.

  • nothing today can come close to these guys.never too old

  • Tull is one of the greatest groups ever

  • Great memories loved his music will never forget it such great times my kids I'm sure think I'm crazy

  • Mine too...but they will mature someday & appreciate good music when they hear it.

  • Ich will die 70er zurück :o((

  • ich auch...so etwas wird es nie wieder geben!!

    siehe Tokio Hotel-grausam

  • Tears on his eyes... and also my eyes... Ah man! I cant find any words to say...

  • I wish there were live performances of these songs. It's not like these guys needed to lip synch. The studio version is elaborately textured but they have the technical skill to knock off near-perfect versions of anything. The TV people probably couldn't be bothered getting the sound right I suppose.

  • I was thinking the same. Always good to see the boys from way back though.

  • I met Ian Anderson when I was around 20 in London Ontario. That was only 10 years ago, but he could still bounce around on one leg and wail on the old flute. Great memories, loved these guys my whole life.

  • I saw Tull about this time at the Rainbow in North London, I've never seen a better band since. This album is 'my' Tull album although I love so many more. This was where my life changed forever. We lived for Tull then.

  • epic and profound!

  • Im gonna have this at my funeral. Classic..

  • Excellant choice of combination of songs!! You really are NEVER too old to rock n roll! And on the eighth day Jethro Tull was created!!

  • I love Ian's voice and singing! He's such a great performer, listen to him playing the flute...!

  • it's fantastic

    peace!

  • lovely songs. maybe someday ill be a pied piper like the dude in the song...im 60s and 70s in 2008 :P

  • "The Pied Piper" is a forgotten gem, I just love it!

  • Psicodelico som.Vida longa ao surreal!!!

  • Great vid.

Bought the cd in the early 90's but mine doesnt have any bonus tracks.

Good stuff. Tull's always the best!
