@priorsway: Cmon now.. There is nothing wrong with getting together and recognizing people for their contributions to the organization! You act like they went to Vegas and spent 20 million dollars (like some of the bailout kings) or something! Without the efforts of these people, it could take 50 more years for doctors and healthcare providers to recognize this illness.
Hey I filmed this... I remember doing so in Atlanta. How are you doing Jonnie? Verapamil put me into remission for a few years but the buggers are back again now. James
I used to have them-- but when i moved, they vanished. It's been 5 yrs at least. My old apt. had mold in the walls thanks to bad plumbing. Perhaps coincidence- but I doubt it. Seriously ppl-- check out your environment and your sensitivity to it.
I've been getting them for aout 13 years now. They started when I was 11. I always thought they were migraines until about 6 months ago when I finally went to an actual Neurology Center. Once I was properly diagnosed and prescribed the right medication (SumaTriptan, I've pretty much been able to control them.
Only in america can you have a group who get to party together because they all have cluster headaches? ...didnt make me feel better about my, made me feel fucking thankfull i dont live in the states
I've had it for years, but haven't had any problems with people understanding the pain. I mean, when someone sees you pounding your head, squirming on the ground and screaming like a madman, it's not exactly hard to understand how much pain the person is in. Either way, with the proper medication I'm down to maybe a few attacks a year now. Try psilocybin mushrooms. I took some in November and haven't had an attack since (I usually get them in late January and early July).
I tried writing more about it, but YouTube has this ridiculously stupid limit, that doesn't allow me to write more than 500 characters.
And psilocybin does work wonders. It's basically allowed me to live a life free of cluster headaches, and I only need to take it once a year. No more steroids or syringes for me.
agree, psilocybin DOES WORK. I'm free from huge dosage of steroids and sumatriptan. very low suballucinogin dosage, just one ore two times at years, incredible, miracle.
psilocybin works. Doctor gave me a sub-allucinogin dose of LSD25 and observe me for 12 hours (it's a really friend) It breaks up the CRONICAL CLUSTER I had since 12 years. This is my FIRST remission (9 mounths) and it's an orgasm for me. I stop Imigran, sumatritan, oxigen, and steroids.
I've had Cluster Headaches for 3 years now. None of my family or freinds understand how painfull it is. Not even my doctor. I'm glad there's A group such as this
I was diagnosed with migraines a few years ago but after reading about cluster headaches I'm pretty sure that's what I have. I don't care if people understand or not, I just want it to stop hurting.
I have had Cluster Headaches for about 17 years now. I have never met, or spoken with, anyone who has what I have. My greatest wish is for there to be a way for people to truly understand the crippling pain and horrible torment that is cluster headache. The worst migrane in the world is a joke compared to a cluster attack.
I don't know what is worse. The pain itself, or the anguish of having nobody who understands it.
I am a former suferer who searched and found a cure. Just search on ebay for cluster headache remedy
