If you take the basic plot line, it is quite an adult theme - a guardian (a crooked attorney I believe it is later shown) who is after Penelope's fortune, and all she can rely on is the mob for protection.. and all for children :-)

Of the Ant Hill mob, I liked Clyde, Zippy, Pockets, and Dum-Dum. Yak Yak creeped me out (looks like Carol Channing). Softy got on my nerves with the crying, even when I was a kid. Snoozy was just plain boring.

I must have been seven years old watching this in my Great Grandmother's living room with a glass of milk, a few corn pancakes, and home made syrup a long, long time ago.
