  • I really like Alton Brown and I love that he gives a great deal of information. I was sad to see that of the sugar producing areas he didn't mention Saint Domingue that became Haiti. That area produced more than half the world's supply of sugar and is worthwhile mentioning.

  • @trmb2 I think they made this before that happened

  • 3:52 "No Deb, I'm talkin' about coke."

  • Deb might've been a bit worried when Alton mentioned a white powder that everyone makes a fuss about; good thing he WAS talking about sugar. ;-)

  • @Jodabomb24 i think that was the joke

  • I wonder if he got sticky after rolling around in sugar...................lol

  • @daddyralph6 The book says so.

  • Alton sure loves his sugar angels... <3

  • I made caramel a few times for ice cream and other purposes and I did so becuase of this episode mmmmmmm good eats.

  • What were the measuring cup and the pastry brush for?

  • I am wondering the same thing. Checked through the episode he never used it.... weird.

  • WHAT 9000!!!!!1

  • OMG 9000!!!!

  • Well yeah, but not "over 9000!"

  • "So, Deb, why all the fuss over this white powder?"

    "You mean sugar?"

  • Actually, Sugar companies really do keep their product in giant mounds until they bag it.

It's weird, but also sort of awesome.

  • Have you seen "Striptease" with Demi Moore and Burt Renyolds? They are in Florida and one scene is actually in a sugar procesing warehouse. Ving Rhames' famous "tendonitis" line...LMAO.

  • @LordOmberus If I ran a mint, I would do the same thing....except I would also swim in the "product."

  • Those cones are still popular in Mexico and can be found in Mexican stores around the US.

  • I love his movie references.

  • I don't know what "Tijuana street runoff" sounds like, but it must be nasty!

  • i love AB!
