I really like Alton Brown and I love that he gives a great deal of information. I was sad to see that of the sugar producing areas he didn't mention Saint Domingue that became Haiti. That area produced more than half the world's supply of sugar and is worthwhile mentioning.
Have you seen "Striptease" with Demi Moore and Burt Renyolds? They are in Florida and one scene is actually in a sugar procesing warehouse. Ving Rhames' famous "tendonitis" line...LMAO.
