I was just Googling this past week how to pack a picnic basket and was coming up empty! None would actually SHOW ME how to pack since I'd never been on one before. Now I know I need a special blanket AND I'm looking for that basket, too on Craigslist, even though the retail price is not that bad. I appreciate seeing the natural bug sprays too because I hate spraying myself with OFF I feel like I'm poisoning myself! Thank you so much for these tips, and you are just too cute!!

I have the old school basket, replete with them lil plastic plate, bowls, cups and all. Yeah you're right it's cute but not super practical. You can take about 1 sandwich and a drink. LOL

Thank you so much for this video. I can't really say I have ever had a "REAL" picnic. But now I definately know what to pack up if I ever do go. And let me tell you I am loving that basket. It looks kinda small but you just kept pulling stuff out left and right, totally getting one! Girlllllllllll I am right with you about those bugs! I will be the one who will strip and be standing butt naked in the parking lot if a bug gets on me! lol I love all your picnic ideas and here's one tip I'd like to add: if your picnic is truly spur of the moment and you don't have time to throw food together throw the blanket/bug spray in the basket and stop by Subway for some sandwiches on the way to the park! =)
