When I lived here as a kid there were 4,000 residents. I now live in San Francisco's Outer Sunset district, which strangely enough feels considerably less crowded than Katy currently does (needless to say a quick trip into downtown changes that dramatically).
That said, going back always puts a smile on my face.
i went to those parks/houses for a field tripp.! 2:33 its so close to my house........0.o 3:22 bahh.! the mall.! i hate that store tho... 4:16 bahhhhh.! i lost my zune there...... :( it looks suppah wierd inside too. and i get lost.. Dx
wierd to see familiar sites on youtube :P i drive or walk by these everyday. its peaceful :D but now their really trying to make it more city like... its sadd... tho i love the city. its nice to have a litto town.

I enjoy living in Katy, but it is becoming overcrowded. I wish builders would stop destroying peaceful areas by covering every inch of free land with houses. Oh well! Our starter home is in Katy, but we will be moving elsewhere in 3 years time when both of the kids are in school. However, we are looking for some breathing room and a little land. That is hard to come by in Katy now.
as of 2009 katy is the largest growing city in america... idk if it still is but shit were gettin crowded for a place that only takes an hour to drive around
Be proud,but dont invite more people!! I have lived in old Katy and in new Katy when there was NOTHING! Absulutely Nothing and Loved it! I miss alot of it,but it too will change! Taxes go up! Cant burn! Laws like the city,go ahead and annex it to Houston! Mind aswell move to an apt!?I fought against it 27yrs. ago. "Oh well"
no i live here in katy its quiet but right now new neighborhoods are getting built and this is OLD TOWN KATY now there are more things here but it is pretty

i love the old katy but the only problem is dat in 20 more years the old katy will be as crowded as houston so i would move in a different town smaller than katy further from the big city

In the past, the geese would descend on the Katy rice fields every fall. The fields are all but gone now, replaced by concrete! Its a shame.
