You drawning good, but you making a big mistakes...

You have to use thicker pencil. 4B to face and 8B to hair and stronger shadows.

Don't smear a pencil !!! It's a most important principle. You have to shade and don't be afraid to push pencil harder. Here Bill's eyebrows and his hair are too bright. Like I sad- 8B to something like this and then, everything will be allright ;) Eyes are good, but are to small compared to face. Practice a bit, and you'll be great! ;)

@Suns1407 Actually, you really don't need to use pencils of different mediums. I use one single number two pencil to do my portraits nowadays, and they're incredibly photorealistic and people buy them. I believe people only need more pencils if their pressure control when shading isn't that great. But anyways, this drawing is from nearly three years ago. Something more recent might be a more accurate way to judge my skills. But thanks for the input.

@DagdaSan I saw your other films and i cannot change my mind. I'm learning drawning from 3 years, my friend is in Art School and i have to say you're wrong. Everyone who drawning need much pencils with different thick. You think people buying everything what is beauty. Yes, that's right, but from poor money and this way your art never be in all good. Trust me i write this for your own good. I don't wanna be mean or something

@GustavTOKIO Yeah xD I've tried using torchons (those rolled paper blending stubs) but I really don't like them, they get too dirty xP You should try using Q-tips sometimes, it's actually really helpful xD And thanks!
