hey is tht x pipe from tsp. do u know if it will bolt up to the stock manifolds on an ls1. i dont have the cash for headers right now so if i get them they will have to bolt to the exhaust manifolds

Just for perspective, you're having to compare a 2010 Mustang to a 1999 Camaro. That's an 11 year difference. There's also a much larger aftermarket for LSx engines, which means it's going to be cheaper to modify the F-body and already very well documented.

There's no "best" cam. Depends on your power goals and what you want to do with the car. Street or track? Daily driven or a weekend car? What are your power goals? How much ride abuse can you take? There is a ton of questions to ask yourself when trying to decide on a cam.

An x-pipe is better than a y-pipe. It'll give you a little more power and sound way better. The reason most Fbodies have a y-pipe is because of ground clearance. There's really no convenient way to run an x-pipe under an Fbody. But, a lot of people, such as myself, sacrifice some ground clearance for the power and sound benefits of a true duals system.

When I had my mufflers mounted right under the back seats, not a whole lot. But, now that I've had them moved back to under the gas tank, I've got plenty. I only scrape on spots where the car would normally bottom out anyways. The lowest part of my exhaust is the header collectors.
