The Manga is just a tie-in: the games are the original, and much better. The games are Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2. If you have a playstion 2 I suggest picking up the series, it's actually really good, and even people who don't even like video games love them.

The director of the series, Tetsuya Nomura, has three habits when designing characters: Lots of zippers, lots of belts, and in Kingdom Hearts, giant shoes.

The keyblade has a purpose in the plot of the games, I know it seems weird but it's actually pretty interesting. Although why he hits with the dull side of the key, instead of the side with the "teeth", doesn't make sense to me.
