  • OK, from what I can take away from similar video's, this is, for the most part, a dance that men take part. This begs the question, are there any dances that the women take part in or lead? Except for video's taken in the West I almost never see women taking part in these dances, not even on the sidelines. I am not taking issue with it, just curious.

  • @josmith94701 Palestinian dabke is danced usually by men only because men and women shoudn't mingle in our weddings . A few northern Palestinian cities and villages used to have mixed dabkas that's why you see dabke in the west and in theatres having both genders. That is, to represent the folklore and people as a whole.This isn't how the original Palestinian dabke is done.This is a modernized one, the moves ar far from the original ones and so is the melody which i think is disgusting.
