I don't find it weird at all that Mary Jane won't be in the reboot. I think its great that they taking the comic book approach where in the comics, mary jane doesn't even appear for quite a few issues, and not to mention it still takes some issues to pass before they even start to date. So it only makes sense to what they're doing.

I'm sorry, complaining about the possibility of having Black cat as a love interest is just wrong. She is nearly everything that Peter needs - fun, carefree and capable of being serious when he needs to lean on somebody. The other two main love interests, by comparison, are mostly damsels in distress.

Gwen Stacy was Peters First love. they were even engaged for a while until the Green Goblin through her off the bridge. Mary Jane was only a friend for a while. she had to comfort Peter after Gwen's death. and they eventually hit it off. I don't know why people are always upset when Peter Has an interest in Gwen and not Mary Jane. This love interest is accurate and so there is no reason for it not to occur.
