Pokemon GREY is predicted to be on the platform 3DS, but the 3D adjuster COULD be deactivated while playing it on 3DS. Like when playing a DS/DSi game on 3DS. BUT... There is Pokedex 3D... So it could be possible for a future Pokemon game to have 3D graphics. We'll just have to wait until Pokemon GREY comes to stores.

I'm actually really surprised Pokemon hasn't done a main quest game in 3D/CGI yet. Where you can run around (in more than 4 directions) as an actual human, a few voiced parts, togglable views, incredible graphics and music, and Wii Battle Revolution style battles. seems like all the other classic sprited games did it years ago xP would be an awesome remake of R/S/E

5 to 10 year old kids probably like the idea of 3D because they're not familiar with GB/C (and GBA) games...

The first games out were Red and Blue (ignoring Green (J)) which had their unique style which GSC followed very well. 3rd gen was already weird (but good either way) because of "better" colors and graphics and when DS ones came out, pokemon games had turned to out something else and had completely lost their meaning.

So definitely no for 3D graphics.

@MrUBtrollin2 it's not gonna be a pokemon grey, i read an article of it, it's gonna be something else, also 3D would be cool BUT 1. you have to buy nintendo 3DS (if you haven't yet) 2. nintendo 3DS can only (if fully charged) be played on from 30 minutes to 1 hour (half) 3. there are alot of complainings that ppls eyes hurt if they put 3D on and 4. they also say that the 3D function malfunctions after 6 months

Plus handheld Pokemon to me has always been 2D pokemon/trainer sprites, but the worlds and moves can be 3D too.

They should be making another console Pokemon game and not lying about new features like Revolution did i.e. destructible environments.
