I connect with him in so many ways even tho I'm only 19 and only recently bought their CDs. But I remember loving music as a kid and would stay up all hours of the morning watching the Saturday music shows. I remember being bored by most, but then blown away when the Clash came on and just thinking that those guys were seriously cool... But it took me years to really discover them. So much wasted time. I should burn everything else I own (as Strummer sugg
Oi, I'm only 14. I got no connection to The Clash at all and especially not Joe Strummer... 7-- goin' on 8-- years gone now, eh? But somehow they (and he's) totally make an impact for me. This man was totally a down to Earth music God that'll live forever through that. R.I.P Joe. ~Wish I were alive back when The Clash were still playing.
being a young un(18) i never got to experience the clash live but my mum (lol) saw them over 20 times and was lucky enough to go drink with them a few times but i feel as though is a massive loss to music when joe died and it fucks me right off that ill never get to see the clash live or meet joe strummer, the only famous person i'd ever call an idol
I saw this late on BBC 2, later I thought it would be released, but it was not....so thanks for this interview. I write philosophy, so such interviews are important to me.
I just started hearing the Clash 3 weeks ago cause i didn't live through the 70's, 80's, & 90-93. But I think they are the best rock band of all time!!!! A++++++++++++!
this must be filmed around the early 90's, no ?
