  • Such an underated jam. The radio just does not bring the vast history of funk, r&b, disco..... that should be on the airwaves.

    Thanks defmaster88......

  • @5712bklyn Where were you back then, this was the shit back in the day. Frankie Crocker on Wbls used to play the hell out of this song.

  • @5712bklyn Unfortunately, I didn't listen to Frankie Crocker (even though he & Ken "spider" Webb were big on WBLS), but this would have been a treat. Bought the album for Gangsters Of the Groove, but this was a pleasant surprize.

  • I never heard the long album version before. Very good. Does anyone know the lyrics to this song though? A lot of the words I could not figure out.

  • Thank Godness for YouTube and all the Hip Folks out there that enjoy the finer and finest things of life!

  • Heatwave is a great group. I love this song and many others that they did. Timeless and full of memories.

  • i love the song because I can relate to it. And the mood is just right

  • Gotta face like Farah Fausit since they corrected her nose. Love that issshh.

  • @Cedrclovesutube nice and clever...

  • the rapper HAn SOUL used this as a sample from one of his raps back in the early 90's the song is like a visonary song i which you can picture yourself from being outside the club on the street till you go inside and identifies with EVERYTHING the man is saying very intellegent rod temperton is a genious and they defetly didnt give him the respect HE DESERVED in the 80's but thats ok he is still one of my favorite producers in the 80's next to mtume kashif gary katz says uzipolo king of decatur

  • what are the lyrics?

  • one off voice johnny..r.i.p man..

  • This cut was for the unique people when I was in high school. We did many fashion shows and loved to pose. The song was very fitting for Old Weequahic HS in the late 70's. Couldn't wait to take on the responsibility of adulthood . It was fun growing up in those days. What great memories..............

  • @kingtutt42 Would that in Newark, New Jersey?

  • @tyrese3745 Yes!!! "Brick City". Chancellor Ave to be exact. Boy how things have really changed. But thats life.

  • I love Rod Temperton
