Find me on Facebook, just type in Mark Motorcade and then email me for ticket info or go to the bands reverbnation or Facebook page..Hope to see you all there..Bow Wow Wow rules!!!
I'm so glad that I came across this video. I've only ever known of the song "I want candy" by Bow Wow Wow but this video showed me that they were capable of so much more than that song.
I love this !! I have been check'n BWW since the 80's! I was in the U.S. Navy and I was lucky enough to be with a detachment that we were all over Europe. Damn, those Scandinavian girls really love the BROTHA's. !!
I would still do Annabella! She is just on some other shit. Also, I would have to throw in old ass Deborah Harry!!
@TheBuenosAiresShow Yes, but Annabella's jumper and cardigan sweater here are a throwback to the 1950s, and different than V. Westwood's earlier pirate/American Indian new Romantic attire that clothed Adam and The Ants and early Bow Wow Wow, although those looks were cool at the time...30 years ago!
The 80's owned all other era's of music. We still had the British invasion plus punk, new wave, glam, metal, and they used to actually sing instead of lip syncing. And MTV was a rock video station instead of a reality TV station that occasionally plays pop and rap videos...

@marc08110 What about the folk bands and current hard rock and metal bands that are just now emerging? For that matter what about all the trashy poppy bullshit from the last 50 years? Do you know why you remember Jimi Hendrix, led zep and metalica? They had talent, they had something new and great. That is why we look back and say "wow I wish music like that was still being made" it is Mass produced pop has always been there, but it fades from memory because tomorrow someone else is signing it
I remember seeing the I want candy video when I was a little little kid in the 80s. Then I remember seeing it again on beavis and butthead later on in life. I was going through some old Beavis and Butthead videos on youtube and seeing the I want candy video again so I looked up some of Bow Wow Wows other songs and I gotta say, they kick ass!
This was and is not average pop music! It's tribal african percussion, backed up with top bass player and nice guitar play. And an outstanding front girl, who can even sing!

I do not agree about the whole "decline" thing: 80s had shitty music too, but no one remembers it. :)
But I do agree that Bow Wow Wow rocks. Looks like a band with a lot of different styles. Compare this song to "I Love Candy". I can hardly believe it's the same band.
I'm not really partial about decades, 80's or otherwise, I just like this groupe, thats all. I liked their musical sound,.. punky yet exotic at the same time, and they had a sexy lead singer with a kinda quirky vibe.
I love eighties music (i'm only 16 :S) and i would agree that music has declined since then but only in general. There are still many very talented bands at the moment but general/mainstream music has definitely suffered
@EarlGreyIII Music and fashion was at it's absolute worst in the 80's. Bow Wow Wow was one of the few saving graces. They were a great band, everything about them. Anabella Lu Win was out of this world! Check out her legs and her dancing.
The 80's were good for Yello, The Sisters of Mercy, The Mission, Sigue Sigue Sputnik, B.A.D. The Stray Cats, Metallica, Slayer, The Cult and Guns N' Roses who led the way out. Rap started to get good around 87 and took off from there.
Sure, and in the 80s I remember everyone said that music and fashion was at its absolute worst in the 70s.
These things always go in cycles. Before long everyone will be looking at this decade, saying that it was terrible and wondering what everyone was thinking etc.
@KaitainCPS You should stick to what you're good at i.e. being a dork. EarlGreylll prompted a discussion and I posted what I thought. @EarlGreyIII You're an arrogant prick. Discuss that. Just because 80's music was the music you grew up to and is therefore most sentimental to you, does not mean it was the best era for music. Ask someone in there 60's and they'll tell you the 60's was the greatest era. Bollocks. Are you trying trying to tell me that classical music and everything between was just a warm up for synth pop and new wave? Arsehole. You clearly don't go out of your way to discover brilliant modern music.
@EarlGreyIII 80s also had some of the campest shit that ever had the temerity to be called music. Duran Duran anyone? Loved this lot mind, saw them 81.
@hufclufc The 80's definitely had camp up to your neck, but the camp was even great. I love the early B-52's and they are nothin' but if shamelessly campy. Even if Duran Duran weren't the most artistically credible bunch, it was still fun; and two of the guys from Duran were in Power Station with Robert Palmer. The Alternative/New Wave pop in the 80's had credibility that was lost beginning with New Kids on the Block, saw its ultimate flowering of rot with Britney Spears and Radio Disney.

I say I personal thought & opinion.
The rock music of after 90s came to get citizenship worldwide.
As a result, there is much quality that lost; think. As if a CD sells in U.S.A. and becomes the mainstream which is the world, and all is justice it.
And I think that there are many omissions of the originality.

One of the most amazing and original bands seen for a long time. Good luck to them. Bonds know a thing or too!

Not so original when two of their members came from Adam and the Ants - hence the drum beat. But still, a great song.

Such an unique band, singer and songs. What a unusual dynamic sound. I am so glad they existed. Brought me so much joy in the 1980's.
