this was the good stuff back in the day. Why can't we go back in time to this magical era? This was all the good **** I missed until I discovered the techno series, "AMP" on MTV back in 1998..
This is one of those forgotten classics that has found resurrection where else? youtube. :)
I still have this gem on vinyl, on a promo release on Loaded Records, before it made it anywhere near XL...rare as fuck. Remember the day I bought it from Beggars Banquet records on Putney High Street, London. Ahhh take me back to the pre digital days when you walked out of the record shop with that gorgeous square plastic bag in your hands, bursting at the seams with the ten 12 inches you'd just bought. Walking thru the door at home & playing them again 1 by 1 on your 1200s was just heaven!
Oh that buzz especially when you knew you got summit special and you was gonna drop it on the night......Priceless!!!! What a track!!!! R.I.P Shem McCauley AKA Slacker
i am currently listening to the club classics vol 3 released by Fantazia and i have cd3 on mixed by Mike Cosford its totally awsome!! and this track is on!!
No apparently it's from some really rare pro LSD record from like the 60's made by some fruit cakes against a bunch of anti-drug Christians that put out some anti-drug records lol...I was told this by one of his friends when I brought his Akai sampler, I forgot what the record is called though...
had the ipod on random on the train earlier, i had the Alex P & Brandon Block Radio 1 Essential Mix on the pod from 19-01-1997, this track is on there at the end....made me stop in my tracks.
R.I.P mr Slacker ..... lonely traveller "get down to the funky beat "
