thanx now if they were would they be faster or slower and y we are havind a debate about the two here at work and some say any car with less than 450hp would be faster standard and any thing over that the motor would be waiting for you to shift making it slower others say if you put a buit auto tranny in any car it will go faster than a standard

You could get Superior cars such as the GTR Spec-V, Audi R8 V10, and even older exotics like a Mclaren F1, Enzo Ferrari, or even a Jaguar XJ220 will crush the ZR1 at Boneville. You wait a little and get a Murciélago LP670-4 SuperVeloce for less, or a Lexus LF-A or many other cars that are a billion times better than a ZR1. If you have that kind of money save up and get a Koenigsegg CCXR(comparitively ZR1=YUGO).

The brakes are by a third party called brembo... the suspension is definitely not by lotus, it is a Magnetic Selective Ride Control developed by Delphi an american company, which Ferrari took from GM. A lot more of the car was tuned at the Lutz-ring GM's private proving grounds, the N-ring has the biggest publicity of course...
The biggest factor in this car is the engine which is 100% American design
Yeah that was some major bullshit. They lead the world in Space and Military planes, but that's about it. DEFINITELY not in cars, US cant make a car for shit, the Z06/ZR1 is one of the few quality cars they make.
Think of how restricted our emission laws are in the US and safety regulations. You can't build a "super car" like the Europeans do all and still get 35-40mph, pass ALL emission standards (that crap will cut a motors output DOWN big time) and pass all crash tests.

The brakes are by a third party called brembo... the suspension is definitely not by lotus, it is a Magnetic Selective Ride Control developed by Delphi an american company, which Ferrari took from GM. A lot more of the car was tuned at the Lutz-ring GM's private proving grounds, the N-ring has the biggest publicity of course...
The biggest factor in this car is the engine which is 100% American design

Think of how restricted our emission laws are in the US and safety regulations. You can't build a "super car" like the Europeans do all and still get 35-40mph, pass ALL emission standards (that crap will cut a motors output DOWN big time) and pass all crash tests.
Not to mention the US builds disposable razor blades when it comes to cars...use them for a while, then toss them in the trash, and we are dumb enough to keep buying them.
But still, the Europeans can build cars no doubt.

GTR is all hype. Using the launch control even voids the warranty! so many GT-R owners are getting F'd because their trans is blown from trying to get that magical 3.2s 0-60. its a peice of shit, and then they have to spend extra money out of their pocket to get it fixed. ZR1>GT-R. time to find out what the Spec V has to offer

id rather get a 2009 nissan gtr spec v...way less than a corvette cost wise and it outperforms the corvette..read road and track from either june or july 2008 or somethin like that and they did this whole big article about the gtr and how it "spanks" the zr1 and 911 turbo...when it comes to performance and bang for your buck, youd be an idiot not to go with the gtr, but i understand the legacy of the corvette but come on...

i just say the spec v because thats my favorite gtr...but the only way the zr1 is faster than the nissan gtr is top speed, when it comes to acceleration and all that mess, the gtr mobs the shit outta this, it does 0-60 in just under 3 seconds in ideal driving conditions....STOCK
i just personally think that the nissan gtr cant be beat for all the bang you get for your buck...dont get me wrong, i love corvettes but read road and track man, its been proven the gtr is dominant over zr1 & 911turb

you do mean just over 3 seconds right? its 0-60 was 3.3. also no official numbers on the ZR1 have been released yet so its really premature to say that the GT-R out accelerates it to 60. last time i checked it wasnt the 0-60 time that won races it was the overall lap time that won races. and when you get out performed by an engineer (not the factory driver) on the ring you know that cars just naturally faster. id have loved to see the time Jhonny 'O would have done if he was driving the car.
