I haven't seen one up close , but I have heard they take the same 3 bolt cylinders . I'm sure a 167 carb will fit . If you can find one of the older homelites ,you'll have a more durable engine , as they were made beefier .
The homelite based ryobi cylinder has 4 port transfers , but when to lower the cylinder to up compression ,it freeports ,or exposes the exhaust port when it is at top dead center .The bottom of the piston skirt comes up to high . These old style homie have the one piece cranks , which are alot tougher than the newer 3 piece cranks, and they have better chrome in the cylinder walls .
thats cool i am only ten but i know about all thet stuff thats prettey cool i made a airboat out of a old old old shindawa its so faswt and sounds so crisp with the 11 inch prop

Have you checked your ring ? Also , check your carb to see if it's set too rich .

Mount it in the hull next to the engine , usualliy make a bracket out of aluminium that will mount to the stringer

@manout234
I have heard that they don't have much material around the ports for modding . They aren't like the older homelites .
