NOTE: New 2.0 version out which is optimized for the newest 2.0 VFX software and firmware (2.0.20101204). Much easier installation, immediate preset change and new presets. There's also a new demo version.

Hello ... I own the software and SampleTron samplemoog ..... is it possible to record the sounds of the software on machine v .... keyboards and programming on two separately
what happened with this thing? I bought one from Thomann in Germany that didn't work, so I sent it back for a replacement only to be told they were no longer stocking it - i never hear anything of the rack and no one seems to post v-machine videos any more - que pasa? i can't afford a muse receptor !!
They have a new public beta version of the VFX program which makes things much better (visit their page); but it's important to know that only the host software (computer side) was buggy in some situations, but never the V-Machine itself - it's stable as a rock (as you can see in the video)
Speed of preset change depends on the used plugins. For the VM Bundle have a look at the new video in this channel called "V-Machine: Famous Sounds!" which is a close-up one shot video including preset and bank changes. Concerning number of presets you can store as many as you want.
im just asking this cuz i just found out about this and it has caught my attention: if my keyboard is a midi, i just plug this box into it and then plug the box into an amp? or is a computer involved in this somehow?
No, there's no computer involved, it works like a common hardware sound module. You only need a computer (PC or Intel Mac) at the very beginning to prepare and license the software bundle before it's transferred then to the V-Machine using a USB stick.
The V-Machine has a MIDI input as well as two USB connectors which allow to directly connect USB midi keyboards or controllers and also deliver the needed operation power.
Yes of course, you can edit them in every detail or even program new sounds from scratch; OP-X e.g. offers 83 parameters for it; of course editing and programming gets more comfortable with an external controller device; have a look at the dedicated videos in this channel
You can also use it in the studio as external sound modude to relieve the load on your DAW, or simply to play VSTis without switching on a PC - or you can take your favourite sounds to a rehearsal session - the possible applications are quite variable - simply look at it as a small and leightweight sound module with a completely open and customizable architecture - of course not every VSTi will run - in the case of the VM Bundle however it's guaranteed since it's custom made for it

Can you edit the sounds inside the V-Machine or do you rely on pre edited sounds?

Is this mainly for live usage, the V Machine?
