I remember taking it every weekend to get it washed, using armor-all in the interior, putting turtle wax on the exterior, and treating it like royalty. The X was originally $88,000, and sold between $57,000-$60,000. It was in mint condition too. The tires cost an arm and a leg, and you have to replace then every four months.

  • This car is a kick-ass car, no doubt abou it. But the S2000 is not that far behind it and is much cheeper to soop-up and boost power...Not to mention you can put the top back on a sunny day.

  • I agree I have a s2000 and NSX and the s2000 is in many ways better, beter in handling and more nimble maybe even more fun too, it is also more race like and sounds and feels more like a race car. The nsx has better drag coefficient and is slight more stable but the s2000 is more racy and way cheaper also newer and more reliable.

  • Honda is really genial in getting the best out of an engine that actually isn't that big.

    The V6 of the NSX is quite small compared to many engines you will find in other supercars. But still Honda manages to get as much out of it, you need for a good sports car.

  • The nsx is a very VERY cool car, and i would take it over a civic with a k20, but i wouldnt take it over a civic with an ls7, or a civic with an f22c. Theres more NSX's than civics with those motors in em.

    The NSX is not a common car, and it has an engine by Cosworth with a large displacement, get you're facts straight, .     Go away, with the right components its easy as hell, i've swapped 454 Big Blocks in to Jeep CJ7s for off road with different Differentials from other cars, and put the 4x4 all custom.   • But it isnt front wheel drive only stock, 454s in cj7s are custom, but easy, its like a k20 in a civic, easy.

  • No because the differentials, and the 4x4 components are different from the original CJ7, everything has to be changed, its hard when you dont have what you need, but with the right shit its easy as hell, theres parts that have to be welded customly. Nothing special, enough to do all that in 12 hours.

  • Heres the deal... the only parts that come from the ls7 are the engine, tranny, and diff... everything else is one off custom... custom welded, custom fitted, custom made. okay? Its harder than it sounds making a civic rwd.

  • ok 50908. i have read you whole conversation and i have come to the conclusion that you're a dumbass. first of all, accords and civics aren't even close to being the same car so don't categorize them as the same. second, making a civic rwd is extremely hard. its not like dropping a 454 into a jeep. and lastly, just because you like getting 35 mpg, little to no maintenance, being able to rack up 250,000 miles on any model, and being able to tune it doesn't make you a tampon, it makes you smart..

  • lol well obviously you haven't driven manual before... You can put the gear in neutral and let off the gas. Your RPMs would then drop to 0. If your driving an auto... well then you got got your driveline keeping your engine rotating.

  • It is planned to be a front engine, 10 cylender, all wheel drive car. It has been tested on basically what is an oversized s2000 chassis. It doesnt soud like an NSX to me... or any japaneese car for that matter, lol!

  • Honda would try something new to construct and wonna be a best Japaneses sportcar. NSX-R is good i think one of the best V6 engines in the world...it's fantastic DDOHC(4 camshafts) with iV-TEC.

    New engine will be destroyer in sportcar world(5.5L V10).

  • The element of the new NSX having a 10 cylinder engine does seem odd, as Honda has never even released an 8. I think the only reason a 10 is being used is beacuse they will proabably keep it aorund an awfully long time like the last one and it will need and engine that can stand the shifts of automotive evolution and displacement, not only that but to compete with turbos and still be naturally aspirated is also another factor that only big displacement can bring to the table.
