The nsx has better drag coefficient and is slight more stable but the s2000 is more racy and way cheaper also newer and more reliable.
Honda is really genial in getting the best out of an engine that actually isn't that big.
The V6 of the NSX is quite small compared to many engines you will find in other supercars. But still Honda manages to get as much out of it, you need for a good sports car.

No because the differentials, and the 4x4 components are different from the original CJ7, everything has to be changed, its hard when you dont have what you need, but with the right shit its easy as hell, theres parts that have to be welded customly. Nothing special, enough to do all that in 12 hours.
Heres the deal... the only parts that come from the ls7 are the engine, tranny, and diff... everything else is one off custom... custom welded, custom fitted, custom made. okay? Its harder than it sounds making a civic rwd.

The big engine to me is exciting, it fianlly marks a point in Honda history where one of their cars will actually have power for a change, what bothers the hell out of me is that the mid engine element has been tossed out the window, and I hope like hell the dont bonk it in the styling department. From some of those spy shots it looks like a corvette, not exactly exotic, I hope those are wrong and it turns out to be much prettier when revealed. Honda needs to hurry up and release it jeesh, slow!
The element of the new NSX having a 10 cylinder engine does seem odd, as Honda has never even released an 8. I think the only reason a 10 is being used is beacuse they will proabably keep it aorund an awfully long time like the last one and it will need and engine that can stand the shifts of automotive evolution and displacement, not only that but to compete with turbos and still be naturally aspirated is also another factor that only big displacement can bring to the table.
The idea of some people on here wanting to keep the old engine an turbo charge it sounds silly as hell to me, theres no engineering wizardry in turbo charching, I like to see a high degree of engineering skill in cars and since were talking about Hondas best car ever High degree of engineering is all that sufices, no turbos! The new NSX should have remained mid engine, I think by not continuing the mid engine layout the new NSX is setting itself up for bad review!

Honda's breakthrough engineering in the NSX was a major contributor to the design of the McLaren F1 as mentioned in an interview with McLaren F1 designer Gordon Murray. "The moment I drove the NSX, all the benchmark cars—Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini—I had been using as references in the development of my car vanished from my mind. Of course the car we would create, the McLaren F1, needed to be faster than the NSX, but the NSX's ride quality and handling would become our new design target."

It is planned to be a front engine, 10 cylender, all wheel drive car. It has been tested on basically what is an oversized s2000 chassis. It doesnt soud like an NSX to me... or any japaneese car for that matter, lol!

Honda would try something new to construct and wonna be a best Japaneses sportcar. NSX-R is good i think one of the best V6 engines in the world...it's fantastic DDOHC(4 camshafts) with iV-TEC.
New engine will be destroyer in sportcar world(5.5L V10).

The big engine to me is exciting, it fianlly marks a point in Honda history where one of their cars will actually have power for a change, what bothers the hell out of me is that the mid engine element has been tossed out the window, and I hope like hell the dont bonk it in the styling department. From some of those spy shots it looks like a corvette, not exactly exotic, I hope those are wrong and it turns out to be much prettier when revealed. Honda needs to hurry up and release it jeesh, slow!

The element of the new NSX having a 10 cylinder engine does seem odd, as Honda has never even released an 8. I think the only reason a 10 is being used is beacuse they will proabably keep it aorund an awfully long time like the last one and it will need and engine that can stand the shifts of automotive evolution and displacement, not only that but to compete with turbos and still be naturally aspirated is also another factor that only big displacement can bring to the table.

The idea of some people on here wanting to keep the old engine an turbo charge it sounds silly as hell to me, theres no engineering wizardry in turbo charching, I like to see a high degree of engineering skill in cars and since were talking about Hondas best car ever High degree of engineering is all that sufices, no turbos! The new NSX should have remained mid engine, I think by not continuing the mid engine layout the new NSX is setting itself up for bad review!

i agree, the nsx still looks sexier than any other car on the road, and even thou the design is 18 years old it still looks fresh, and i just dont see a v10 honda, i cant even picture a v8 honda, i wish the new nsx had the same engine as the old one but twin turbo charged much like the nissan gtr, that should give it about 450bhp which is a lot on a car that weights barely more than a civic

Man, the new nsx is nothing like the original. I would take this Type R over the new one any day! 18 year old design and still great looking, you can't say that about most cars.

they stopped nsx production cuz they didnt sell at all. they stopped supra production bcuz the american economy slowed so the us dollar weakened making supras more expensive so sales slowed so they had to drop the us market and the sales kept falling. a lot of ppl love them but most of the ppl who love them cant afford them.

that wuld b bad ass, but i dont think thatd ever work for a car that costs about 60-70k or however much the nsx costed. at least they r bringing it back, but its going to b a v10, front engine rear drive "gtr killer" so its not going to have the same character as the v6 mid engine nsx.

the sad thing is the new gtr is still cheaper in price then any nsx. maybe if the New gtr had VTEC, nissan can justify raising the price about $30,000 on the new GTR

The one they have coming out soon is a front engined ripoff of the GTR. It's an NSX in name only.

If you like the retro style i don't mind but believe me change can be good sometimes...
