Alter Bridge AND Creed are both very talented in their own unique way and I love them BOTH equally. There's no need to compare cause they're both 2 different bands with 2 very different styles and there's no such thing as "better". Seems how everyone and every situation is different.. Got VIP tix and I got a chance to meet him, One of, if not the most humble, genuine, and the coolest person I've ever met in the music business! Very nice guy! In my opinion,...Ian Thornley has WAY more style and charisma than Chris does,...and as far as song writing,..Ian wins in that department as well over Chris. It's just a shame that poor promoting, management, and label support are the main causes for phenomenal artists like Ian and Myles to go unnoticed by the public. Hell,..I wish I was as good any of the three.....and perhaps with hard work and determination,...well...we'll see what the future holds. I will PREVAIL!

Sorry,..but you REALLY can't compare the two to each other. Being a fan of both artists,....and also being a artist and vocalist myself, I have to say that Myles's style is different than Chris'. BOTH are OUTSTANDING vocalists/artists, but if you're just looking for personal preference,...I prefer Myles. They renamed themselves Alter Bridge. It is the same singer, though. Alter Bridge = Creed with Myles Kennedy as frontman.

I noticed on another summergirl video where people wondered about the pause in the middle of the song. I think the song is about a deceased girl. The song starts out solemnly and in the middle of the song it pauses (a moment of silence in rememberance of the dead). As the song continues, his pain emerges, the instruments grows louder and then there's the long note that Myles sings which gives us a bone chilling feeling of grief. That is why the song is so powerfully emotional and beautiful.

listen to Temple of the Dog's 'Say Hello To Heaven' and go to the end of that song. Chris Cornell hit's the highest note I've heard in a rock song.

Cornell is a good singer, he's up there near the top, but he doesn't get his high high notes from an outbreath. In say hello to heaven he sounds a lot like axl rose, a lot of people can make that kind of squealing noise using the top of your mouth. Myles does all his highs using the full burst of his lungs on an outbreath.

If you see my point.

Both amazing singers though. Cornell is similar on highs to axl rose and Myles is similar to Stephen Tyler on highs.
